Lovely 2bd home with rennovated chef's kitchen (gas stove!) in private Truro location 5 minute drive from Cape Cod's best beaches and down the road from Castle Hill Art Center. Fireplace, outdoor shower and large deck are just a few of the amenities.
Big, sunny, newly remodeled kitchen with high-end appliances and large gas stove. Le Creuset pots and pans, chef knives etc. Basically, everything a foodie needs, including seating for 8-10.
Large open floor plan living room with flat screen TV, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a queen size bed upstairs and 4 twin beds downstairs. There is also a large deck, fireplace and an outdoor shower. We spend summers and winter break at the house, so it is full of paperbacks, DVD's and board games.
This is a rare Truro property that has been totally remodeled with high end touches, yet it is still affordable.
For kids, there is wooden swing, a tree-house and a zipline, upon request. Use all at your own risk.
The property also has a large shed full of bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs and a kayak.
Please note: the bikes are not fancy. We leave them out as a courtesy for guests to ride around town without having to worry about anything happening to them. If you are a serious biker, please bring your own bike.
Outdoor shower, treehouse, large deck, two grills, bikes and a kayak.

We are happy to answer questions via email or text, and go out of our way to ensure guests have a great time. We can accommodate pets, including cats, late check-outs etc. and unlike most Truro rentals, we provide sheets and towels, as well as bug fluffy down comforters and great amenities. However, we are not a hotel. We are a family who rents out our second home in a flexible manner that is very rare in Truro.
The house shares the property with another cottage -- occasionally both houses are rented out at the same time. Each house has their own deck and privacy but they share an outdoor shower and parking lot.
During the summer, our neighbors occasionally host parties that go until late.
Pets are welcome but there is a $25 per pet per night fee. There is no smoking inside but lots of outdoor space for that. Although we have a cleaning lady, this doesn't cover doing dishes, throwing out trash and recycling etc. Please throw out any leftovers, and in general, leave the house as you found it, minus deeper cleaning.

I am a freelance writer and brand strategist living in New York City with my husband, a media studies professor and our two boys, ages 11 & 13. We live on the 20th floor of a 30-story building that we affectionately call the "machine for living." Even with the Soho crowds and gentrification, we love our neighborhood.
We also have a house and a rental cottage in Truro, MA. We live there during the summer and visit during Christmas break and a few times each spring.
We love travelling and recently explored Austin and San Antonio and a few summers ago we went to Scandinavia, where we learned to love saunas, dense rye bread and saying "tak!" Of course, we visited Legoland in Denmark, and stayed in the Legoland Hotel, which I highly recommend even though beers cost $13. We hope to return to Copenhagen, Iceland (we LOVED Iceland) and Norway's Fjords one day.
Besides traveling, I love to read, cook, and read cookbooks! I have a MA in Food Studies from NYU, which means I can tell you the history of ketchup, the politics surrounding organic tomatoes and then write you a recipe for curried ketchup. I occasionally write about food and talk about food and cultural for the NPR show Word of Mouth, produced out of New Hampshire. The kitchens in all of our properties are properly stocked with good knives and olive oil.
