You would be sharing the house with my lovely male lodger who is 33 and a professional cello player. I am offering a double room with an ensuite shower The house is warm and modern with fresh furnishings. Off-road parking is a bonus as is the bike store.
Beautiful calm location in Mews five minutes from the centre of Minchinhampton, Glos. Modern three bed house - one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. For an additional supplement of £20 there is a sofa bed which is firm but comfortable as I am told by my friends and family.
The house is light, spacious, full of character and unique because it is so warm! The kitchen is open plan with dining area and sofa, with French windows leading onto the terrace. Carpeted throughout, full library of books. There is a pretty garden which is a sun trap and loungers are available in the metal shed. You can happily have breakfast on the terrace.
No TV - bring a laptop, as we have ethernet cables in every room and there are some DVDs. Also a stereo, modest music collection (Bossa Nova kind of vibe) and a sofa is covered by a super sized sheepskin rug.
Stroud's Apollo cinema, or Wotton Under Edge's Electric Cinema or many walks are nearby and great shopping in Nailsworth! I am in the process of making it mine with beautiful touches, the odd antique and bright colours - so the space is still in its infancy, but very cosy and relaxing all the same. There is off-street parking for two cars to the front of the house. At the back there is a garden with a terrace. There is a residential cat called Tilly who will round off your welcome to perfection.
Minchinhampton town centre, a five minute walk away, is situated in the heart of Gloucestershire and has The Kitchen, a very good cafe/restaurant, as well as Sophie's French Restaurant, Woefuldane Organic Dairy selling home-made cheeses, milk, bread, butter and coffee. It has two great charity shops for a rummage (girls!), hairdressers, beauty salon, chemist, pub, shop, butcher, beautiful church, (full of incense on a Sunday) and on the edge of one of the few commons in the country where cattle and horses graze half of the year.
Cirencester nearby is also rich in heritage; it is often referred to as the ‘Capital of the Cotswolds’ and was the second largest town in Britain during Roman times. There's the Corinium Museum, a traditional outdoor pool from May to September, and local markets in Cirencester and Stroud. Oxford is an hour away , Bristol 45 mins, Cheltenham 35 mins, London 2 hours to Hammersmith.
For those peope hunting the next crop circle, I am forty minutes from Avebury and the main area worldwide for these incredible phenomena. Come and See! ((URL HIDDEN)
Access depending on booking to double bedroom ensuite, kitchen, garden and terrace, bike store and downstairs office with sofa bed. If you are two people wanting the sofa room and the double bedroom, there will be a supplement of £20

I will be away, but my lodger will be on hand to help, and is very helpful and tidy. He is also a handyman, for if things go wrong.
The main one is that outdoor shoes need to be taken off before they hit the beige carpet in the hall. If muddy they can then be carried and put in the cupboard below the stairs on the mat provided.
If you can feed Tilly that would be great. I will leave instructions
Remember to keep the kitchen door closed if you go out; this to stop occasional visiting cat coming in.
The house holds its heat very well, so leaving it on timer should be enough to stay warm all day. If the weather warms up turn it off and use only if needed as it can get very hot.
My daughter's bedroom is out of bounds - too much to dismantle for a short time. Please respect this.
If you break anything, please leave some cash and a note to say so.
If you use anything up in the cupboards please replace.
To protect the table please use the mats provided.
