Lush flowers, plants and trees surround this second story secluded hideaway. Clean, vaulted ceilings, and comfortable. Twenty minutes to the airport, university, beaches, shopping, medical, and Volcano National Park. Great for medical professionals!
Taxes are included. :)
Secluded, quiet, private and secure overlooking the yard, gardens, flowers and in the trees.
The water we have is rainwater from a water catchment system. It is great to shower and clean with. You will find that when you wash your hair, use very little shampoo or you will be washing it out of your hair for a long time!
Also the rain water from the faucets is not considered safe to drink. Bottled water for drinking is a necessity. A few small bottles will be furnished on your arrival.
There is a washer for your convenience, but no dryer. There are clotheslines for drying outside.
There is no TV reception; hence, no TV.
The solar hot water can be supplemented by turning the "Little Gray Box" on activating the electric water heater if a day is sunless.
Internet service is what you bring with you--smart phones have Hot Spot capability so check with your carrier. Hilo has several locations for free downloads and access.
If you have any questions, just ask.
Minutes to the Volcano National Park, coffee mills, Macademia nut factory, shopping, airport, beaches, Imiloa and the University.

Our neighborhood is rural. You will see walkers, horseback riders, and bikers on the road so do be careful. The wildlife consists primarily of birds, mongoose, feral cats and pigs that always avoid humans. There are small domestic dogs and chickens for curiosity fun. Enjoy the wild flowers!
South is the Volcano National Park -- two days are needed to see the highlights and enjoy. Mother Earth giving birth since 1983 -- you decide if it is creation or devastation.
East is Pahoa town -- the end of the recent lava flow -- and Kalapana to see a touch of old Hawaii and the Thursday night market. This can be a full day or two of exploration. It is back to the '50s and contemporary Hawaiian lifestyle immersion in this corner of paradise.
North is Imiloa -- astronomy explained to the community--, waterfalls, and the top of Mauna Kea and Onizuka's Visitor Center. This is a day for the star activities that with no doubt is the best place on the planet to observe, discover and learn. Just add another day for waterfalls and botanical gardens.
There is so much to see. Please take the time, immerse yourself, learn and enjoy! Then there is the ocean 2400 miles to the West Coast going east!!
No smoking, No drugs, and No pets.
Most importantly, have fun and enjoy!
