THE TRIP AS AN EXPERIENCE:spend a holiday in a palace built in 1300 and still intact today, part of an ancient medioeval tower.
In Florence, in the Middle Ages the noble families in the richest and most powerful noble families lived in towers: the tower - as well as being a home and provide shelter in case of danger - was a symbol of the prestige of the family, and therefore it had to exceed the height of those of rivals. It was not uncommon for some tower collapsed because its owners had tried to build it ... too high.
