O ovom smještaju
A Historic Navajo Traditional Earth and Log Cabin that Navajo have used for ceremony and family. The experience is for most westerner's basic, rustic, or a lot like camping but you experience the way the Navajo have survived through centuries.
Our Air Bee & Bee supports traditional farmers with bee hives to help the community recuperate from the Uranium Era. At our campground - HOT Water Showers that are powered by solar and wind. We have a solar charging station for devices and WiFi
The Hogan has three full sized beds and is close to the Navajo Tribal Park. There is no running water or electricity but we have an outdoor solar HOT shower at the campground and an outhouse for a restroom. We add cots and sleeping bags for extra guests.
Please BEFORE YOU BOOK - check the map of all of the listings in the area ON THE MAIN AIRBNB MAP YOU WILL SEE ALL THE LISTINGS ARE ON THE SAME TWO ROADS, THE 163 & MONUMENT VALLEY ROAD, all are on the same four way junction EXCEPT THE ONE 26 MILES INTO THE PARK DOWN THE UNMAINTAINED DIRT ROAD.
Any listing that is not on these main roads, are down dirt roads, and there are no places to buy new tires in our region, the closest is 150 miles away. If you want a remote location you need to choose a different listing, because we are convenient to everything and road accessible and that is a plus in our area, not a minus. Its no different than being in a small town. The remote listings require a drive down a long dirt road and should be prepared for that.
No listing you see on the map is in a remote area, you are NOT alone in the remote wilderness. Please expect that we are next to the entrance to the tribal park, and that we do not live at the hogan.
So, lets be clear - you would have to drive 26 miles in and out of the park on that dirt road to access the store, gas station and laundromat or restaurants.
26 miles is an additional time factor to plan, as it is about 45 minutes to drive down a 26 mile unpaved road. All other listings have a view of the highway just like ours does. We are a Navajo residential community, we are modernized, traditional peoples.
I'm sorry we have to stress this point, but we have a lot of travelers who are not familiar with our area, and make comments that they expected the remote wilderness. They act as if this fact was hidden from them, and it is shown on the maps. Our hogan is right next door to three hogans listed, and ours does NOT have the lights from the High School or the Clinic to marr the sky view.
This is a Navajo community, in a remote region, but is not remote any of the listings that are at the four way junction. Our community is built around the 163, and the Monument Valley Road, otherwise you would never be able to find us.
Our hogans have our family homes around it, like all other hogans on the Navajo Nation do. None of the listings, are alone in the remote wilderness. Please expect that we are not next to the road, but the road is nearby and if you have a preference for the wilderness, you have to book inside the tribal park.
You are welcome to explore the area and come and go as you desire.

Just be aware that Navajo have a different lifestyle than many are used to. It's not a luxury listing but an opportunity to connect with Navajo way of life and culture and is not a hotel experience. We compare it to camping but is how most Navajo were raised.
Folks, it’s time to make reservations for this year’s total solar eclipse on August 21, 2017!
Just be yourself, and soak up some beauty way, to take home with you!
1. Only throw paper waste in the cans. Take all other trash with you. Other trash attracts wild and nuisance animals.
If you need a garbage bag we can give you one.
2. Return the solar lights to outside on the table.
3. Make sure the lock on the outhouse and hogan are locked after you leave.
4. Do not feed the neighbors dogs at the hogan or they will return to haunt other guests.
5. Notify us if there is anything you need or if something is wrong with the outhouse or shower.
6. Be aware that alcohol is not sold on the Navajo Reservation.
Otkažete li više od 7 dana prije početka rezervacije, dobit ćete povrat od 50 % iznosa. Otkažete li 7 ili manje dana prije početka rezervacije, nećete dobiti povrat novca.

Yá’át’ééh, this is Jenna, with Zhane and Libby and we are the first Airbnb listing here in Monument Valley with excellent reviews by Airbnb guests. Because we were the first to list we have the most experience in making airbnbers happy. We provide a connection to local Navajo neighborhoods and culture.
We have a community bee project far away inside Narrow Canyon, for phyto-remediation. But close to the tribal park, we rent tents and hogans, with others in our family, and share the space we have, with guests who visit the Navajo Tribal Park. We are convenient and accessible to all the activities in the park, and the grocery store, gas station and area attractions outside the Tribal Park.
