Originally from Guyana, South America. Enjoys meeting new people and learning about their culture while helping them to enjoy the best that Washington, DC has to offer. I really love hosting extended meals over good conversation and wine.
I recently retired from the Federal government so I spend a lot of my spare time volunteering with various charities (medical missions, homeless shelters, at risk youth, etc.). Currently leading an effort to build a safe home for at risk youth in South America. I am committed to reducing my carbon footprint so I try to be environmentally correct as much as possible (ride a bicycle as my main means of transportation, hang clothes out as opposed to using the dryer whenever possible, eat organically/locally, recycle, etc.) My hobbies are reading, travelling and cooking.
My home is a pleasant 100 year old, 3 story, six bedroom, 3 bathrooms victorian row house where love, laughter and good food abound. Would love the opportunity to provide some warmth and great hospitality to ensure the full enjoyment of your trip.
Please let me know of any special needs, requests or particularities so that I may be better prepared to accommodate you.
