I am offering the main level of my Victorian Century home located in the heart of King West on Stanley Park. This is a bright, one level, open concept + self-contained suite with a separate entrance - it was once a fashion designer’s studio. The suite features soaring 11 ft ceilings exposed brick, chandeliers, closet and storage shelves, an open concept living room/bedroom, a large eat-in kitchen with a walkout to a private backyard, and a newly renovated bathroom. The private laundry is located in the basement. LAUNDRY is available upon request. I allow 1 load per person per week. Additional loads are $10.00 each.
No proxy/3rd party booking. Please have the person(s) join Airbnb and book for themselves. It can be problematic on a number of levels. If you want to pay for their stay, as companies do for their traveling employees - No problem - simply give them your credit card number to enter at the time of booking.
THIS IS NOT A PARTY VENUE. Please do not contact me if you plan to have "people in" or throw a party. No unauthorized guests are allowed in the suite without my express permission.
Unauthorized guests will be asked to pay an additional guest fee of $60 per night on the spot or vacate immediately. No exceptions.
**If you change your reservation I will refund 50% of the shortened period.
Sleeps 1 very comfortably. The Sealy Posturepedic double bed can sleep 2 if required. The sofa in the living room area click clacks into a bed suitable for a child or small adolescent. There is a quality full length mirror not shown in the photographs. The house is on a quiet + one-way residential street with no condos. It overlooks Stanley Park's outdoor pool, tennis court, and large sport + recreation field.
The washroom will be stocked with towels, toilet paper, kleenex, soap, shampoo, conditioner and a hairdryer.
The eat-in kitchen, with a lovely view of the backyard, is equipped with all the basics including an ample sized dinette table, 2 chairs (I can bring a 3rd up from the basement), coffee maker, coffee, tea, electric stove, fridge, microwave, iron + ironing board. There is no dishwasher. There is a pair of slippers and 2 towel wraps for after showering on the shelves in the larger curtained closet. There is a fan on the floor of the other curtained closet with hanging space. The photos of the backyard without snow were taken October 2015.
THERE IS NO TV.
Please be advised: Long term guests (over 1 week): An additional cleaning fee of $70 per week or every 2 weeks will apply to your booking as I will provide housekeeping. I will send a special offer/alteration to include this fee once we agree on a 1 or 2 week cleaning before accepting your reservation.
I will be there at check-in to meet you and give you the keys (I live upstairs). If not there will be a lockbox and I will provide instructions and the code prior to your arrival. All of the suite would be yours and yours alone. Front Hall foyer is shared with me. You have your own boot/shoe mat and there are 2 travel umbrellas in the suite. The entire private backyard is just that - yours to enjoy!

Call me anytime. At work during the day, Cell: Texting works well but if you are a long distance guest - simply communicate via this platform! I have 2 other free messaging options but Airbnb hides their names so we can talk about that later.
I work in the city and live upstairs. Point being I am available!
Please inquire about availability before booking.
My full Guidebook is posted on my other listing. No worries if you aren't able to check it online, there will be a hard copy for you to read on the kitchen table.
Street Parking Temporary Permit Purchase Online: All of my guests who are driving have bought a temp street parking permit online and it works very well. It is your best option as it is less expensive than using nearby lots and closer to the house. Basically you may park on my street or very nearby 24/7. The permit is simple to obtain + very reasonably priced - you just need a credit card and a printer. Link to purchase and prices: Temporary (resident/guest) permit provided space is available, a temporary parking permit may be purchased by residents and their guests to park a motor vehicle on a street designated under the permit parking program, at a cost of $21.09 per week, $9.00 per 24 hours or $13.51 per 48 hours, plus H.S.T. Please msg me for the link to purchase.
Parking is free on Wellington St. just to the south of the house. Please just ask for additional parking information - I have extensive information for you!

Get off after 1 stop as I said at St. Andrew and take the King Streetcar westbound (at street level) (most common is # 504) and get off at Niagara (about 20 mins max. give or take depending on traffic).
