Old-fashioned cosy and quiet apartment 1 km or 0.63 miles from downtown Aarhus - in the University area. 400 meters to nice tracks in beech forest and near beach. If you like a talk about Aarhus or DK and culture this is the place for you.
THE FLAT itself is old-fashioned and from 1924 in a time-typical corner building. It is on the top floor and has beautiful views of the Aarhus bay, city and forest and lots of light in all four directions.
THE ROOM is a smaller bedroom that holds a 3/4 bed and a small balcony overlooking the forest. The bed is equipped with a Danish eiderdown duvet, of course. There is free and fast wifi in the room and apartment.
The large living room has a fine sea view, broad window sills and a nice bay window. It is furbished with elderly furniture and paintings, some of it antiquities. You are welcome to play the grand piano. There is a large TV set with 30 channels in various languages and on request free wifi.
Old-fashioned kitchen with dishwasher, juicer, kitchen-aid machine and everything necessary for producing nice home-cooked food. Likewise there is an old-fashioned bathroom with tub and shower.
The garden area is tended by gardeners and shared among the apartment houses holding picnic tables i.e.
There is one catch : In exchange for the view you have to walk 4 flights to the apartment - no lift.
The building houses people above the age of 35 who likes a quiet environment - so it is not recommendable for children.
Downtown Aarhus with Concert Hall, Aros art museum and shops are just 1.2km away. Busses leave every 15 min. The woods are just 400 meters away and the local shops, restaurants, cinema and cafés are just 300 meters away.
The beach and the trails alongside the ocean are 600 meters off.
The apartment house is situated next to a large grocery store and bakery which is open every day until 9:00 am also weekends.
I shall be glad to help you with the information you may need about Aarhus and Denmark, even Scandinavia.
Looking forward to making your stay a good one!
See you Elisabeth
You are welcome to share the living area and of course kitchen and bathroom with me. Help yourself to free coffee and tea. Cook as much as you want and feel at home.
Pets are not allowed in the apartment house. Smoking is possible on the balcony.
That depends on you. I am always good for a nice talk in between the daily doings. You are however welcome to stick to yourself if you prefer so. Just let me know. You may go and come as you wish. Night time is quiet time though.
