Recently renovated loft in the heart of downtown Athens, in the Psyrri area, between Monastiraki and Thisio. Brand new, sunny and clean and with a modern sense of decoration, the apartment is just a two minute walk away from the Monastiraki metro station (Airport direct line). With the Plaka area and the Acropolis, both within a short walking distance, you really are right in the centre of the Athens.
The apartment is just a two minute walk away from the Monastiraki metro station, a one minute walk away from the Thisio metro and is right in the heart of the resurgently hip Psyrri area, a neighborhood buzzing with cafes, bars, gallery spaces, theatres, cute tavernas and a vibrant night life.
The building within which the apartment is housed is recently renovated and used to be a small artisanship that would create religious images and church icons. Now a group of modern apartments, it is home to a number of artists and musicians. The apartment is situated on the first floor and is an open spaced, with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, bathroom (with shower), double bed, living room, TV, sound system, cds, books, magazines and board games.
Momma Argyro, a cook by trade, makes sure that there is always a selection of local delicacies for breakfast and can (by prior arrangement) prepare an assortment of delicious Greek dishes (we run a traditional Cretan restaurant in the alternatively trendy neighborhood of Exarheia and offer special prices for our guests).
My name is Yiannis, Ι live in the city of Athens for the last twenty years and Ι was born in the beautiful island of Crete. I run a traditional Cretan restaurant in the neighborhood of Exarheia, so I appreciate good food and good company. I love travelling, going to music festivals, here or abroad, camping, djing and going to the movies. You may also meet my girlfriend Margarita (an excellent hostess) or my mother Argyro (a great cook by trade) and we make a great team together.
