A friend and I stayed at the apartment for 4 nights in late June 2017. The flat is in an absolutely perfect location. Renting a car isn't necessary, as you are only a 10 minute, strait forward walk from the train station, and literally in the center of Beaune. The pedestrian only area is approximately 50 meters from the front door, where you have several restaurants, brasseries, wine bars, and shops. The nearest grocery store "Casino"is approximately 40 meters away, and the nearest boulangerie is a 3 minute walk, round trip. Also all the "tourist" sites within Beaune, and the main Tourist Information office, and the Saturday morning market are all walkable. Also, you will pass 2 bicycle rental shops on your walk from the train station.
The flat itself is charming. It is on a small one way street, where the locals seem to fly down faster than they actually are, due to the noise of the tires on the cobblestones. Having said that, there is absolutely no street noise in the flat, and overall very quiet. The few windows, open onto a small enclosed courtyard. Although it was 90 degrees F (32C), outside, I never felt uncomfortably warm, probably due to the 2 foot thick walls.
The flat seems to be recently remodeled, or a new flat created in an old building, in a modern style. The wifi is good, and there were plenty of television channels, although none in English. The flat was very clean with plenty of towels, and kitchenware. Also a nice coffee maker, and electric kettle and a good selection of coffees and teas.
The flat is on the ground floor, although one step is required for the bedroom.
We were able to gain early access to the flat at 1500 hours from Baptist's mother.
I would definitely stay here again.
