We live downstairs and can offer as much help and assistance -or as little, as you'd like. Your space is for you to share with those you are visiting, if you wish.
2 bikes are available to be borrowed if needed please ask. We have a smart tv which means you can access Netflix, YouTube, etc but not cable.
PETS: We do not have pets but we try to be pet friendly when we feel pets will be a good fit for our apartment. Our house is 115 years old , there are a few rugs and carpets in the space , but mostly we have Douglas Fir wood floors that we recently had sanded and refinished through most of the apartment . If your pet might scratch soft wood floors due to nail length, an injury, or for another reason, our apartment probably won't be a good fit for your pet. Unfortunately we recently had a guest who's pet left some scratches going up the stairs and there is nothing that can be done to fix that so we have started to screen pets a little more closely . It would be helpful to know how many pets you are traveling with, their ages, weights, breed, and any other important information you can share so that we can try and be proactive in protecting the house.
The apartment does have stairs so if your pet has trouble with stairs , unfortunately, our apartment would not be a good fit for them.
We ask that owners keep their pets in a pet kennel or carrier if they are to leave the pet in the apartment alone.
We have a fenced in side yard that can be used by our guest's pets if needed. The fence is 3 feet high and locks.
Jill and I would be happy to watch your pet if we are downstairs and available to do so. Please don't hesitate to ask if you would like us to dog sit while you walk downtown for dinner or if you are in town for music or a performance. Please let us know what you need and we'd be happy to help.
There is a dog park a 1/2 mile west on Garfield if you walk over the train bridge.
Pet boarding options are available, please feel free to let us know your needs and we'd be happy to assist with boarding.
Thanks for working with us and understanding our pet concerns so that we can accommodate pets the best we can. If you have any questions please ask. Thanks!
We just ask that you'd treat our house as you would your own. We don't smoke cigarettes and appreciate guests not smoking cigarettes on the property.
Tim and I moved from Chicago to Laramie with our 3 year old son in the summer of 2015. I work at a small non profit that does local microloans to small businesses and Tim is an elementary special ed teacher. We like biking, gardening and going to see live music in the summer - in the winter we watch the Chicago Bulls, and Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirls basketball and travel as much as we can. Laradise has been a great move - we are close to family and love the change in atmosphere.
