Built as an elegant suite in the 1920's for the previous owners, this large room features a king bed, sitting area, large bathroom, stone fireplace, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a 'critter cam' to view the wildlife drinking from a water trough just outside the suite. It also features a private patio with table and chairs. The room is decorated with vintage prints and artwork from local artists.
Enchanting Trowbridge Suite
A fascinating and enduring part of Arizona history, our original 1880s cattle-ranch was transformed into one of southern Arizona's earliest dude ranches and frequently hosted legendary Wild West showman “Buffalo Bill" Cody. With its lovely, whitewashed-adobe buildings, our property offers comfortable lodgings, privacy, easy-going hospitality, and the charm of a historic ranch setting. A delightful breakfast at the Main Ranch House's long, wooden kitchen table is available each morning to start your day. Bird-watching and wildlife viewing is an enjoyable pastime on our sprawling 50 acres. Enjoy contemporary art exhibited on the 6-acre Sculpture Park, a gift shop featuring locally-made crafts and fine art, as well as a gallery located in the historic Adobe Barn. The "Trowbridge Suite" is one large, light-filled room with king bed, a massive stone fireplace for romantic ambiance, a sitting area with twin daybed, walk-in closet, coffee maker and refrigerator, and a sunny bathroom with tub and shower. The unit opens up onto a shaded wildlife-viewing path and your own semi-private patio. Our most recently-added amenity is a 'Critter-Cam' filming live-action of our diverse wildlife. Besides a rich bird fauna, our property is home to deer, javelina, raccoons, foxes, bobcats and more. As natural as our property is, we are just a five minute drive to several popular eating establishments: one Old West themed steakhouse, one authentic Mexican family restaurant, a cosmopolitan breakfast & lunch cafe/bistro, and two fine Italian restaurants. We are situated a mere 35 minutes from northwest Tucson and 5 minutes from Biosphere 2.
Guests are welcome to walk the entire property, Sculpture Park, and designated trails throughout.
Check in time is recommended between 3:00-6:00 pm. Please call and let us know if you will be arriving any later. Also, upon checking-in, please indicate what time you would like breakfast the next morning.
Our standard rates are based upon single/double occupancy. $25 more for each additional guest per night's stay. Well-behaved pets are allowed ($15 each). Pet fee is waived for 2nd night and beyond.
We live on the property and are always available in person or by cell phone.
I purchased the Triangle L Ranch in 2001. As an artist and photographer, I've made art events, exhibitions, and workshops part of the ranch’s evolving mission. My passion is sharing with visitors the beauty of this historic ranch and blending thought-provoking works of art into the landscape.
