Welcome to your Dubrovnik pad!
You will be staying in the sunny & spacious master bedroom of my apartment in the Gruž neighborhood of Dubrovnik. It's a convenient location with easy access to the entire city that still gives you a local neighborhood vibe.
The Sea View bedroom
A master bedroom, equipped with a queen size bed, a couch for lounging, lots of closet space and an absolutely stunning view of Gruž harbour. Sunny, spacious, and relaxing.
Plenty of space and sun, a large fridge, an oven, and an eat-in setup.
A small but functional stand-up shower, a washing machine and all other necessary amenities.
Very basic, but great for having a morning coffee or a meal. It gets shade most of the day, which is great cause you'll be in the sun almost everywhere you go in Dubrovnik.
The apartment has great WiFi throughout. Bath towels, beach towels are all provided!
I'm always around and happy to give you a rundown on where to eat, hang out, order food, go swimming, take a day trip and pretty much and anything else!
The apartment is in a truly great location! You have a bus stop 45 seconds walk, from which a bus to the old town runs every 10 minutes. The total travel time to the old town, the old city walls, Banje Beach and most other attractions is only 10 minutes. You are also just a few minutes walk from Gruž harbour, and 15 minutes walk from the main city bus station - making it fairly easy to get here from the airport. Grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, pizza places and bakeries are all within 5 minutes walk so you'll never go hungry or be bored.
Why stay in Gruž over the Old Town?
Most tourists are in Dubrovnik to explore its wonderful, historic old town. However, once you set foot into the old town you'll fast realize that the crowds are unbearable. It's lined with people, shops selling souvenirs and businesses geared towards tourists. By staying in Gruž you get a chance to experience a more local perspective - the outdoor market and fish market, the bakeries, the coffee shops, the old ladies gossiping on their terraces, and so on. The old town is very easily accessible but so is your escape into a more relaxing and peaceful neighbourhood.
With great AirBnbs comes great responsibility! Please understand that you are assimilating into an existing neighbourhood, where people live, work, relax and raise kids. By becoming a part of it, you have to adapt to its ways. This is by no means a late night party spot - there are tons of hostels, and AirBnbs around the old town for that. What it is, is a chance to relax, listen to the sounds of the neighbourhood and sit back an get a feel for what it's like to really live in Dubrovnik as a local.
Other than that, no smoking indoors and please just treat my home the same way you would your own.
I look forward to having you stay with me in this awesome town!
Please treat my apartment with respect! Smoking is only permitted outside on the terrace and most importantly, remember that you are in a residential area where people live, work and raise kids. That means to keep music or noise to a minimum after 10pm. Thanks!

I was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and have lived in Italy and Croatia as well. I live between Toronto, Canada and Dubrovnik, Croatia and in both cities I work in hospitality and tourism. I travel every chance I get, usually on a budget, which is where Airbnb has been my savior.
As a host, I'll go above and beyond to give you an awesome experience, we're in Dubrovnik or Toronto. I know both cities very well, and will make sure that you get some local insight during your visit. From where to eat, go swimming, shopping or partying - I've got you covered.
It sounds cliche, but as a traveler, I try to see the destination from a local's perspective and get a feel of what it's like to live there. Obscure neighbourhoods, places with character, anything that I find to be a rewarding experience. I also do occasionally enjoy taking in the tourist sites and landmarks and will often rent a bike and ride around all day. I'll ask a lot of questions and always appreciate advice, from where to eat and party to where to play pick-up basketball.
See you soon,
