We really enjoy renting our cosy spare room to friendly people who have come to visit Amsterdam for whatever reason. It's a small city with great transport options so we're close to everything touristy as well as several parks and great food.
A cosy 2 person room in our downstairs area next to living room and kitchen. The apartment gets natural light throughout the day and so does the room.
1 Double bed (brand new mattress!!!)
1 Standing bookshelves
1 Fold-down desk
1 Nightstand + reading lamp
We are more than happy to share our living area with you!
* You can use the kitchen (within reason).
* Upstairs shower/bathtub
* Downstairs WC

I'm around most evenings and sometimes I work from home during the day. Always happy to chat about my favourite things to do in Amsterdam or help you find your way. My daughter LOVES having airbnb guests to stay and may try to rope you into doing some drawing or building towers with her.
My housemate is a toddler, she's adorable and generally easy-going. But if you are a very light sleeper and not a morning person, this might not be the ideal place for you.
Please step outside to smoke.
No excessive noise from 20:00.
I will soon introduce a "No showers between 20:00 and 06:00 unless absolutely necessary" rule to make sure my toddler stays asleep.
Thank you for coming to view my lovely double room! My name is Tamara; an academic and mother of Lyra, my 21 month old daughter. I'm renting out my room for some extra cash and the pleasure of international company. I'm a traveller myself; I've been to the Americas, Asia, lived in Africa and around Europe. Now I'm working at the VU Amsterdam as a Migration Studies PhD.
My apartment is situated in a really nice part of town, offering a unique experience of Amsterdam. I live near three of Amsterdam's nicest parks, a selection of trendy restaurants and cafes, and a few of Amsterdam's prime tourist attractions (most notably Anne Frank's house). Though my neighbourhood (de baarsjes/bos en lommer) is close to the city centre (10 minutes by bike and about 15 by tram) I live in a not too touristy part of the city, guaranteeing a local experience when visiting the surrounding bars, coffeeshops etc.
Please feel free to post questions to me if anything is unclear. Being a single mum, I can sometimes take more than 24 hours to respond, apologies for that, but I will always get back to you eventually!
Hope to meet you soon,
