Just upstairs from the best cafés, bars, Central Park, and the subway, you will experience life like a real New Yorker. After exploring the city, return to this classic 2-bed apartment to unwind with a cup of hot tea, a warm bath, and a cozy evening in.
The apartment is very quiet and sleeps four comfortably, so it's perfect for two couples! The best part about the apartment is the location! The apartment is located on one of the best blocks of the UWS! Not only are there so many bars and restaurants to try out within a 5-block radius, it will be easy for you to access all the museums, monuments, theaters, parks, shops and other cool neighborhoods with three major subway lines and bus routes right outside your door. And in the springtime, there’s nothing like ending your day sitting at a neighborhood sidewalk café, enjoying a glass of wine or a local brew and just people-watching. New York comes to life in the spring and it’s worth enjoying the scene and soaking in all that great energy!
If you’ve just enjoyed an eventful day in the city, you can stay in and make use of our stocked kitchen. Put on some music and enjoy cooking together, drinking wine and playing cards. Or order from one of the dozens of amazing restaurants in the neighborhood and snuggle up on the couch in front of a good movie. There are two bedrooms, both of which are the exact same size. Our bedroom (the blue bedroom) has a full-sized bed, the other bedroom (the yellow bedroom) has a full-sized air mattress. Both rooms have built-in closets and there will be space for you to lay out your belongings and hang your clothes. The living room has a dining table and sofa, and there is plenty of room to spread out.
Aside from the wine collection, the apartment is all yours! Feel free to use any of the appliances, the yoga mats, condiments in the fridge, flour, sugar, pots and pans, crock pot, etc. Of course please just treat everything the way you would want someone else to treat your belongings :)

I certainly invite interaction with guests - please feel free to email me with questions prior and/or during your stay. Since I’ll also be traveling communication might be spotty, but if anything comes up, I'll be in touch with you to take care of it. After your trip I'd love to know about your stay and see some pictures - would love to hear what a great time you had!
This is a walk-up apartment on the fifth floor (4 flight of stairs). It can be a little sporty at first, but the upside is how great your bum looks after a few days of taking the stairs!
Clean sheets, towels and hand soaps will be available to you, but you may want to bring your own shampoo and personal care products.
In case of an emergency, the fire station is a block away on 83rd between Columbus Avenue and Amsterdam Avenue. If you're experiencing a non-emergency but need to see a doctor, there's a walk-in urgent care clinic, CityMD on Broadway between 87th and 88th (5 blocks away).
Just a couple of common courtesy rules: we keep a small wine collection in the corner of the living room and above the fridge. Please don't drink them - they are very sentimental to us. However there are several fantastic wine stores within three blocks.
There is a family with small kids who lives next door. Please be respectful of the neighbors.
If you want to open the windows for a little fresh air, it's totally fine. Just remember to close and lock the windows leading to the fire escape before you leave the apartment. And because it’s New York, also lock the front door anytime you leave.
Finally, please make sure to keep the apartment as clean as you found it.
