Fall asleep to the sound of the waves, right here in the city! One-of-a-kind condo at the end of a pier, poking out into Lake Washington. Wake up to Mount Rainier, then drink your coffee on the deck as you plan your day...
I am out of town for blocks at a time, so offer this when I'm away. There is nothing else like it in Seattle. (And this really is a deal -- I rented here two years ago, before buying, for this amount. And rents have gone bananas since :)
Seriously, it's beautiful. You get to feel peaceful and remote, but the bus stop is 25 yards from the door of the building, so you're so so close to downtown. But why leave the neighborhood? We have restaurants, coffee, a grocery store with a small-town feel, and oh, LAKE WASHINGTON, right out all the windows.
This Spring, this magical place is available April 11-May 31. Minimum stay 30 nights.
The bedrooms both have great views, with high-quality beds and linens (I'm a sleep snob!) One bedroom has a queen bed, one a twin, and we can accommodate a third/fourth person on an (also very comfortable) inflatable - that has legs, so you're not on the floor.
Free onsite parking (reserved, but not covered). Full, equipped kitchen, living room that's beautiful AND comfortable. Free laundry in the unit. It's great!
It's all yours. We have our own private decks, but you may also use shared outdoor spaces. Go ahead! Do your morning yoga on the dock!

If the unit is available, it means we're not in it :) We might be there to help you check in and show you the ropes, and out of your hair after that. OR we might be out of town, in which all communication will happen here and in text. If not having someone onsite makes you nervous -- consider carefully!
Margot is your basic decent person - mother, three kids, job in high tech, writer. She bites her nails, but does not cheat at Scrabble or break other people's things.
Anthony likes to exercise, watch movies, and do good works.
You'll see many of our reviews are of Margot & Ivy -- Margot and Anthony's youngest daughter. Margot & Ivy started being Airbnb hosts in 2012, as Ivy's first job. We had a great time, but Ivy is now spending 10th grade in Costa Rica, so Anthony has been pressed into service :) With our nest now (temporarily) empty, we're renting both our original Airbnb, the separate apartment "Lovely Garden Studio" as well as a bedroom in our own home.

p.s. If you want to know more about your hosts. . .Margot's memoir, "Paradise Imperfect: An American family moves to the Costa Rican mountains" was recently released by Yellow House Press -- you can find or at your local independent bookseller. In addition, Margot's take on Washington's Marriage Equality law was recently published in the New York Times - you can read it by searching on "margot page modern love".
