The experience at Om's was okay. Om was generally nice, particularly at the beginning when she invited me to a friend's birthday. Also, she was very sharing with the food in her kitchen, which I appreciated. After that first night out, we mostly kept to ourselves though, as we were both busy, with only the occasional interaction when we ran into each other in the hall. In our conversations, mostly about politics, they mainly consisted of her informing me of how the world 'actually' works, with slight condescension towards me as if I were just one of the sheeple who didn't 'get it' (have in mind that we were both liberal, her just more so). This slight condescension extended to her instructions on how she would like the house to be maintained, as well. Not saying this will necessarily be everyone's experience, this was just my own.
Regarding the room itself, it had an air mattress, a portable heater, and some chairs, which were fine for the reduced rent price. My only gripes would be that the rest of the house was not heated (by choice) and so at nights and mornings when it was cold outside, it could also be pretty cold inside (this was early-mid October). Also, there wasn't much in the way of comfortable lounging in the house, just the aforementioned chairs and some wooden benches with cushions in the living room for gatherings. No couches or sofa chairs or anything like that.
Lastly, it should probably be noted that the house is not actually, "full of artists", just one musician/student. Apparently, there are musical gatherings from time to time, though it was just us two for my ten day stay. The title/description is just misleading, that's all.
