Enter around the side of the garage, into the kitchen (has small mini fridge, 2 burners, toaster oven, coffee maker). Bath w/ shower is next to kitchen. The sleeping/ living area is UPSTAIRS (not handicapped accessible).
Guests will have access to outdoor area off studio. Outside dining encouraged. Pool available May - Sept. Guests swim at own risk. In season there is abundant fruit on the fruit trees (33) - help yourself! My road is a local favorite for runners and cyclists - also great for walks.

I work daily in my studio… so I am usually around if you have questions. I am a painter and fiber artist. If I am felting, we will share use of the kitchen during posted hours - I will make every effort not to intrude.
There are several wineries and 2 breweries within a 5 minute drive - and many more in a 20 min ride. Hiking trails are all over and easily accessed. I have 2 dogs, who are quite friendly and like to announce arrivals.
The apartment is part of my extended studio. Please enjoy the beauty of my materials… if you are dying to do something artistic, please ask what is available for guest use. Otherwise, I'm pretty easy and respectful of your get-away space. No Smoking (cigarettes, vapes or other ).
I am an environmental scientist turned fiber artist. I'm originally from CT, have lived & worked in Norway and travel when I can. I have lived in the Charlottesville area for 35 years and love it - so much natural beauty and being a university town - great food, great art, a booming winery, brewery, distillery area... not to mention the local hiking and history. Cville has lots of great art, music & theater; Crozet was a sleepy farm town until recently - now, it is growing and is still rooted in that farm-town flavor. Love it! I even have an old red pickup truck for the farm. I always thought I could not live without being near the ocean, but these Blue Ridge Mountains outside my door ... they fill me with delight, every day.
