30 minutes or less to Yosemite, Bass Lake and more! Very clean and modern 2 bed, 1 bath attached private apartment with private entrance, living & dining areas, and kitchenette with new appliances. No smoking and pet dander free! Read our reviews before you book another place!
This is a no smoking 2 bedroom 1 bath attached private apartment on 3 acres. You'll have your own private entrance, with ample and safe parking in a quiet neighborhood. Central A/C and heat keep you comfortable no matter the weather outside. We have never owned pets or smoked since the construction of this space thus it can be considered truly pet hair, dander, and smoke free.
The master bedroom has a queen memory foam mattress, a side table, a fold out luggage rack, a mirror, and a cabinet full of board games. A sliding glass door leads to a small table and 4 chairs outside, and has a private door to the bathroom. The walk-in closet has hangers for your use.
The kitchenette has a mini-fridge with a freezer compartment. There is a 2 burner hot plate, a microwave, and toaster, and my favorite part, the coffee bar (with tea, too) which we hope will help you start your day off right. The kitchenette includes flatware and place settings for 6, and basic kitchen tools. Ask if there is something specific you need, we may be able let you borrow it for your stay.
The dining set seats 6 and would work nicely for a laptop work space.
The second bedroom has a queen pillow-top mattress a side table with mirror and a chest, that would work well for a suitcase. The peg rack is for any items you need to hang using hangers from the master bedroom closet.
The bathroom's huge shower, which you share with a hanging plant, has an upgraded shower head, conditioning shampoo and shower gel, and if you forget something essential we may have what your missing, so please, just ask.
When you arrive you will park in the large parking area on left side of house which is just outside of the private entrance. Specific check-in arrangements will be made after booking, but generally someone will be here to give you a key and and answer any questions. For your safety, only the reserving guest with a valid picture ID will be receiving the keys. There is plenty of parking room for boats and RVs (but no hookups).
Our property has beautiful wildflowers in the spring, and while the summers can be hot, there are some great swimming and fishing spots nearby. Fall is a great time to visit when the summer crowds have thinned and the weather is usually nice. There is a slight chance of a dusting of snow in the winter (2500 ft elev.).
Keep an eye out for deer, coyote, raccoon and even an occasional wild turkey. While we have rarely seen bears, wild boar, and have never seen a mountain lion, they are known to live in or near the area. Coarsegold also has a festival in the fall to celebrate the migration of tarantulas. You may see them walking across the road at that time of year but they are harmless, even though they look creepy.

If there is an issue with the space such as leaks, breaks, accidents, or nonworking appliances, please let us know immediately. We want to help in any way we can to make your stay enjoyable.
Automatic daily maid service is not included, but if you are staying with us several nights and require trash removal or are running low on basic supplies, please text to let us know so we can take care of it for you. Recycling goes in the orange tote outside.
Please try to re-use towels and conserve water since California is still in a drought.
Please treat soiled sheets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths and kitchen towels and cloths with the spray stain remover under the kitchen sink to reduce the likelihood of being charged for replacement. The dark colored hand towels and wash cloths should be used for make up or anything else that may stain white towels and washcloths. There are old towels in the master closet if you need towels for something that might stain white towels.
We will treat you and your loved ones with respect and hospitality, and expect from you the courtesy of respecting our rules in return. If you agree, then we look forward to your stay in our guest home!
We live on the property and are available to answer questions, address issues, offer local dining and recreation suggestions or to chat over a beverage of choice. We and our well behaved children will respect your privacy, but it's home to us, so you may see us outside or hear us inside. When the weather is right, you may hear us around our backyard campfire, which you are always welcome to enjoy with us, and if not, you can count on us being quiet after 10pm.
The 5 things I can't live without are my husband, son and 3 daughters... although sometimes it feels like I can't live with them either! But seriously, I'm a stay at home mom who loves adventure and, besides going and doing them myself, I see no better way to enjoy adventures than through the experiences of others. There are so many things to do near here! Seeing others enjoy what this area has to offer, as my family and I have, renews my appreciation for this beautiful place I call home. I'm looking forward to helping you enjoy your next adventure. The Golden Rule is my motto: Treat others the way you want to be treated.
