West Central Florida - A quiet country suburb, 4.5 miles from the head springs of Rainbow River State Park. Swim, kayak, bike or hike the beautiful trails, and have lunch riverside. Step back into Retro-80's-Cool-Florida, at Retro prices.
Private Room, as well as, use of the shared kitchen, main bathroom with tub and shower, washer/dryer laundry in the garage. Private entrance to the back yard. Quiet neighborhood outside of the city. (See Pictures)
Also we have accommodations available to host guests who are traveling by RV. Park in the driveway, and 24 hour access to water/electric, a shared bathroom (tub/shower), laundry and wifi.
I will also consider a dog, depending upon various factors (msg. me). There is a fenced in back yard you have access to. It's only 3' high in some areas, so not good for fence jumpers.
(As Shown in Photos)
It's a clean, neat, by no means luxurious, but very homey and comfortable atmosphere.
The front yard is shady and perfect to relax under the large shade trees. In the back, there's a snug place with open sky perfect for sunning during the day, and star gazing at night. Under the huge shade tree and cedars in the back, you can sit and read a book or have lunch at the picnic table, and enjoy sitting around a small campfire pit at night. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, a rural community, great for a walking, jogging, or biking around and with many unexpected amenities. see What is there to Do Nearby? (Rainbow Lakes Estates)
You'll have access to a shared bath/shower, laundry facilities in garage upon request, as well as the yard (back yard is now fenced in).

My adult son Jesse and I live here. We are around much of the time, if you need any assistance with anything. We can be very social and yet quite satisfied to be by ourselves, and very respectful of each other, and our guests preferred level and flow of social interaction.
We do have a furry dog, Bella. She's an older medium size friendly dog, that pretty much keeps to her own space after she first meets you. She's not aggressive, nor a problem barker, and generally gets along well with most all other dogs. Jesse is allergic to pet fur and dander, yet we make an exception for Bella, though we cannot add any more fur babies to the house equation. If you have a dog, it must remain with you in the private room, fenced back yard, or your RV.
PHONE / CONTACT
The contact telephone number is a Voip-internet land line with voice mail. It cannot receive text messages, unless you use a text to land-line app.
So just call and if I don't answer, leave me a voice message. I'm actually more apt to check my Airbnb message via email, than check my answering machine messages online. So that's your best bet if you want to contact me before you check-in.
We are easy going, but do ask for responsible, respectful, cooperative, and friendly guests. And we will honor the same, likewise.
Positive, easy going. Enjoy a good chat, plenty of laughs, and equally, my own solitary company.
I do like meeting people and hearing about their personal journeys, whether that be life long or during their present traveling. I also love to share my own. But I respect privacy and enjoy my own and each others present flow. So I understand some of my guests are here just to sleep, or to spend some time alone in peace and quiet and reflection, or to work at something online or at their computer. While others may want to hang out, enjoy a few beers, grill, sing some karaoke with me in the garage, or go out and enjoy kayaking or dinner together, or a combination of all of that, or something entirely spontaneous, fresh and new. So, please just communicate what you need, and I'll do same and respect that.
I'm very suited to being a Host, since I like putzing around in the house, cleaning and doing simple maintenance, learning new skills so I can do more of that, and changing up the furniture, re-designing, painting walls, and re-imagining my own quarters, and Host Home. I too, love to travel and spent a good 5+ years doing so, but for now am in Host mode. I have a vision of that taking me to where I can do both.
I do love to watch movies and super epically good tv shows, so I do spend a lot of my time between cleaning, maintenance, lawn cutting, painting, and chatting with guests in my room enjoying them. I love stories, and that's why hosting guests who want to share some of their own stories is one of my delights and reasons why I enjoying hosting.
I also love dinning out, or ordering up pizza, or just making a delicious stacked sandwich or burger and fries and sitting down in front of a good TV SHOW and indulging myself. Right now, I'm finally getting around to watching the tv-show, Lost. On season 3 and totally engaged into it.
I look forward to meeting and hosting your stay in the area. It at first glance might seem like I'm out in the middle of no where and what's there to do and why would any one stay here? Well, that's what I thought initially, cept maybe a few who want to tube down our Beautiful RAINBOW RIVER. But I have discovered over the last 2 years of hosting, that there's so much to do nearby, so much more both recreational and otherwise. It may not be the center of the planet, nor have everything, but it's pretty cool (see my what's there to do nearby info in my detailed description if you're further interested ~ and that's just some of what I've discovered)...Heck even my neighborhood has a few surprises, like parks and a library and a wonderful dock over a lake to watch the sunset. And we are centrally located, just a day drive away from Orlando, Tampa and Daytona even Savannah, the possibilities are endless.
Well that's a little bit more about me, than I had intended. I"ll leave the rest a mystery to unfold LOL.
