I like to interact with my guests daily if I catch them with their busy schedules. Sometimes, I offer to cook breakfast on weekends when I know what time they will be up so we can have conversations.
Guest may use the fridge, microwave, pots and pans if you need to cook. If you need oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and some basic dried herbs, it's provided - free.
Water bottles are also provided free as complimentary. If you would like to save the earth, like me, you may drink the water from the fridge and it's filtered.
For added security, there's a surveillance camera on the first floor installed in the dining area that captures the front door, windows, and the sliding door.
No smoking, please, inside and outside of the house. No drugs please. Only paid guests are allowed to enter and stay at the premises.
I have a parrot that stays in her cage and I love her to death. I only let her out when I'm home. Please DO NOT use candles. She's sensitive to any scent of candles. It's toxic and fatal for birds. Also, please DO NOT feed her anything.

I love hosting! It started 3 years ago when I decided hosting international students. It was a fun and learning experience meeting kids from foreign countries. I take them to places like Napa Valley, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and shopping malls. I cook for them almost every night, help them learn to speak in English, teach them household chores, how to bake and cook different cuisines. I usually have them for a 1-month program but they only come once or twice a year, so I expanded my hosting via Airbnb. I love it even more and it’s addicting! I don’t charge that much because the idea of home sharing is to help travelers minimize their expenses and at the same time they’re helping me having extra income. I work for the State of California during the week but whether I’m home or not, I make sure that my guests will get the best Airbnb experience staying at my property.
5 things I can’t live without are: my petbird “Prettybird”, family and friends, rice and fish, cookbooks and kitchen gadgets, and my karaoke machine. :)
So far, I hosted guests/students from Korea, Japan, Philippines, Mexico, France, Switzerland, Jerusalem, Croatia, and from different cities and states in the US. My goal is to meet and host more people from different parts of the world and probably will visit them someday.
My favorite motto:
Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.
