The Harbour Suite encompasses the top floor of our house, which is on the quayside in Padstow. It is an eaved room with an enormous bed, a bathroom with bath and shower, and a small balcony overlooking the harbour, the estuary, the beaches and the golf course at Rock (St Enodoc).
We have been running a bed and breakfast
URL HIDDEN)here on South Quay for thirty years or more and people come back year after year - most of them dining at Rick Steins. The view is one of the best in Padstow, and the balcony an ideal place to sit with a glass of something cool. There are tea and coffee-making facilities, a TV, hairdryer, free WiFi and a small fridge. The bed is huge, independently sprung, so that one side is firm and the other is softer. Of course, when the mattresses are turned I tend to lose track of which is which!
Guests have access 24 hours, with their own key.

We can help with all sorts of things - advice on the best places to eat (and the ones to avoid!), loan of surfboard, waterproofs for fishing trips, ice for a gin and tonic, aspirin afterwards!
Do bear in mind that this is our home and full of our own things (some would describe it as cluttered, perhaps rightly), so that if you are looking for impersonal, minimalist, bare, then a Travelodge might suit you better!
Padstow is not known for its night life, so we tend to go to bed early and get up early. If guests find somewhere to party late at night we would hope that they would come home very quietly and get up in time for breakfast (normally 8.30.) The house is non-smoking, and we have a very high-spec fire alarm system, but you are welcome to use the outside breakfast table. We have another room (see separate listing) in which we welcome (small) dogs. Only two night bookings in this room.
I am a newcomer to Air Bnb, so feeling my way. I live in a small port on the north coast of Cornwall, absolutely beautiful. I spend most of my free time in the summer sailing (a Laser dinghy or a Cornish Shrimper) and ski for several weeks in the winter in Europe with my husband Peter. I think I am considered to be quite a good cook, I love music, opera especially, reading, walking my dog Fitz, partying. I have just taken up snowboarding, to the dismay of all my friends. We much enjoy doing B & B because the variety of people one meets is infinite. My life motto is "If you did it yesterday, then you can do it today - if you can do it today you will be able to do it tomorrow."
