Our place is located centrally in the town of Tanunda; close to wineries and world class restaurants the Barossa Valley is renowned for. Walking distance to many, and a short drive in any direction to the rest. An easy stroll to the main street which offers a delightful range of shops, cafe's, restaurants and pubs. We are just a 15 min walk to Peter Lehmann Winery; venue of the annual 'A Day On The Green' event. There are many excellent walking trails and cycling tracks in the area.
There will be a detailed information folder in the room, a map, and tour brochures for your use.
You will have the private use of the Two Bedrooms, the sitting room and the bathroom. Also the outdoor seating area at the front of the house is for your enjoyment. (Please note that the second bedroom contains a Double Bed not a Queen Bed, but still very comfortable)
There is offstreet parking for two cars, one of them undercover.
- Although you will have exclusive use of the bathroom, outdoor seating area, and TV/ Sitting Room during your stay, these areas are a part of our home at other times and therefore some of our personal effects will be stored in the bathroom cupboard. We ask that you respect our privacy; these items are not for public use. Unfortunately we are not able to cater for pets as family members have severe allergies. Smoking is permitted but ONLY outside. Strictly NO parties and no extra guests over and above the 4 people the booking allows for. There is a small bar fridge, and tea & coffee making facilities are provided. If there is something you need urgently or any information we can help you with we are certainly ready and willing to assist. We have lots of local knowledge and can give advice, directions and tips as we lead a very busy social life and have personally experienced many wonderful events and places to go to in the area. If you prefer to be left alone that’s fine too! We hope you enjoy your stay in our home and in our beautiful Barossa Valley.
- We do offer free WiFi, but much to our own frustration it is extremely slow!
We are happy to provide advice and directions and assist where possible.
One of us will always try to be present to greet you on arrival, but may not always be there on departure. We will let you know where to leave the key when you go.
I am married 34 years to Steve, we are both in our mid 50's, and have three adult children. I am self employed work from home bookkeeper for Steve's Interior Decorating business. We both love going to live music venues/festivals, he loves gardening and I love gardens. We enjoy tropical holidays, beaches, cycling, drinking wine and travelling in general. We take lots of short holidays, and now hope to visit some locations outside of Australia too.
In our first year of hosting we have met many wonderful people and it continues to be a very positive experience.
