With some work and attention to details, this condo could be a wonderful place to stay when visiting in lower Bucks County. While the house guest does has sole occupancy of the house, one room and the garage are used for storage.
The one and only bedroom has one double bed; the mattress is okay. All the closets, drawers and cabinets are filled with stuff. Things that may not have been used in a long time, and mainly useless to a guest. It is best for guests to live out of their suitcases because there is no available space.
Cleanliness is a significant problem. The condo was “cleaned”, but dust remained on the furniture, a garbage bag was left behind a bathroom door, and worst of all, the toilet seats and bowls were filthy. It is discouraging to have to clean toilets upon arriving.
The kitchen cabinets and drawers are filled with a lot of old and useless kitchenware. There was one medium size pot in an acceptable condition for cooking. Fortunately, we bring our own pan and spatula when traveling. Cups, glasses, dishes and utensils are numerous and okay. Stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave work fine. Our food was kept either in the refrigerator or on counters and kitchen table because there is no space in the cabinets.
Hot water is plentiful. Shower in 2nd bathroom is good. (Tip: turn handle to the right towards C for hot water. And towards H for cold.)
TV has no cable. “Rabbit ears” antenna provides good reception on some channels, poor reception on most. No remote control available, so to change channels, one needs to stand next to the TV with a finger on the buttons in the back. This became aggravating. Marie said that someone may have taken the remote.
It was cool one night, and the furnace did not work. The blind covering the bedroom sliding door can not be opened fully.
In its current state, this condo is okay for a few days if you want to “rough it ”. If a lot of things were cleaned out, practical space were made available for guests, and more effort put into cleaning, this could be a great place to stay for a longer period.
