Caravan with basic house bathroom access on the mainland 6 miles away from the Skye Bridge.
Sleeps 2 comfortably, 3 OK.
Please note we are away until end of August, so responses might be a little delayed.
Please read description and details (space & guest access) and contact us with any questions.
Basic but private space, comfortable for two people, or two adults and a younger child, will fit three adults too.
Clean bed linen and towels for every guest are provided, as well as extra blankets. The caravan has a maximum of three berths of which two can be used separately or made up into a large (6ft+ wide) sleeping surface potentially fitting 3 people. The other berth is smaller and made from seats (see pictures) which convert to a short single.
There is a chemical (camping) toilet in the caravan, but no running water.
Running water, and basic bathroom facilities (shower, toilet, bath) are available in the house.
There is electricity in the caravan and a small fridge and as well as a kettle, toaster, basic cutlery, cups, glasses, bowls and plates in the caravan but NO cooking or dishwashing facilities.
Running water, and basic bathroom facilities (shower, toilet, bath) are available in the house and will be accessible. The rest of the house WILL NOT BE ACCESSIBLE while we are away, which means no cooking facilities will be available. We might be able to leave the wifi on, but I can't guarantee this at this moment.
We have two cats and we would require you to feed them while we are away!
If you come by car, it can be parked in the driveway.

We will be available on your arrival to explain/discuss everything but we will leave on the 16th July.
We have guidebooks, detailed maps and quite a bit of local knowledge, so we can advise on your plans/make suggestions.
As in all Western Highlands, the midges are ongoing and very real concern between April and October.
**Please make sure to keep the caravan door closed, especially in the morning and evening to avoid letting midges in and getting bitten at night. Please also try to avoid getting midges in when using the house amenities.**
This is a semi-remote, rural area with no mobile phone coverage at the property. We will try to leave the wifi on, but I can't guarantee this at the moment.
Weather is unpredictable and it rains a lot, but there is stunningly beautiful view around every corner (if you can see it through the mist ;).
No smoking inside the caravan, you are welcome to smoke outside or in the areas of the house where we do.
We have two cats who live indoors AND outdoors. Pets are welcome but please clean up after them.
We get up around 8.00am and go to bed around 11.30pm most days. Please make your use of the shared bathroom brief before 7.30am between 8.40 and 8.55am on school days.
If you want to arrive early or very late, we are usually fine with that, but do let us know. Otherwise I'll assume you'll be arriving after 6pm and leaving before midday.
Please make sure to keep the caravan door closed, especially in the morning and evening to avoid letting midges in and getting bitten at night. Please also close the house door when using the house amenities. I know I sound obsessive but midges are a real nuisance.
Please strip the bedding (duvet cover, pillow cases, sheet) off before departure and leave it on the floor of the caravan together with the towels you used.
This is an old property in a rural area. Think of it as camping with a few more creature comforts!
A family of four (plus cat), living in a work-in-progress renovation project of a small 120 year old house in a small hamlet 6 miles from the Skye bridge on the mainland.
We have travelled extensively (and often on the very cheap!) in Europe, NA and Australia and now are (more or less) settled in the glorious (if rainy) landscape of Scottish north-west coast.
Our presence on airbnb is as much a social as a commercial venture (probably more ;) - thus no instant booking (I do aim to reply within a few hours) so please do say something about yourselves in your inquiry, and a filled-in profile is an added bonus.
