PLEASE NOTE: This is a shared environment. Hostess (Bobbie Ammons) will always inform you of any other in-house guests at the time of your initial airbnb inquiry. HOST AND HOSTESS ALSO LIVE IN-HOUSE. The spacious home accommodates up to 14 guests, with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (one handicapped accessible), two fully furnished kitchens, a classroom/TV room, living room and dining room. Guests are responsible for their own meals. Internet and cable TV free. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. Cable TV can be watched downstairs in the classroom. No SMOKING OR ALCOHOL ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THE PREMISE. No pets. One or two guests is $60 /room/night. Each additional guest in a room (some rooms hold 3 or 4 guests) is $30/person/night. All full bathrooms are located in the hallways across from the bedrooms. The Atkins House is a shared environment, perfect for personal relaxation, family reunions, wedding parties, conferences, and group retreats.
Guests have full use of the house accomodations. Parking is paved and located across and in front of the house. Outside entrances are handicap friendly.

Bobbie Ammons is the Hostess of the Atkins House, and lives in-house full time. She is available to assist guests and ensure their comfort during their stay. Children must be closely supervised by adults at all times for their safety, as there are fragile antiques, stairs, fireplaces, balconies and a busy street in front of the house.
The Atkins House, built in 1922, is the second home of Bishop Atkins, one of the founders of Lake Junaluska. It is located between Lambuth Inn and The Terrace Hotels at Lake Junaluska. Housed within The Atkins House are the offices of The Intentional Growth Center (IGC), whose mission is to provide leadership development through a holistic, Christ-centered approach. IGC is an agency of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church.
A reverent and peaceful atmosphere is honored at all times to respect the privacy and needs of other guests. Quiet Time is encouraged after 11 PM. Guests are asked to buss after themselves when using the kitchens, bathrooms dining and living room, and classroom. Guests are also requested to please not eat in the bedrooms or living room. Please respect the furnishings, as many are antiques. They are here for everyone to enjoy in the spirit of the heritage of The Atkins House.
Bobbie Ammons is a Holistic Nurse, with over 44 years as an RN. She is a Healing Touch Practitioner, and offers Healing Touch (at extra cost) at The Atkins House by appointment only. Bobbie lives in-house at The Atkins House, and is available to assist guests with their comfort needs, and offer information about the Lake Junaluska and surrounding attractions.
