I really appreciate your review as in some parts will help us to improve. But, I must give you a feedback regarding all the details from your review.
Regarding the cleanliness, our cleaning ladies are professionals and in the last 2 years and a half we rent Villa Dora, we really have never had any complaint. Moreover, we have had compliments in this field, which is visible through reviews of all our guests on all sales channels. For us it is really important to keep the house clean and tidy as at the first place, we find it very important in our proper house as well. If in your case you haven't find it clean as our previous guests, we really apologize and definitely will warn our cleaning ladies that the situation must not be repeated. But, I repeat, it have never had been a case in the last 2 years and a half.
Moreover, all our previous guests' reviews voted us with great marks, which makes us really proud and happy because it have always been a prove we care of our guests. And we really do. This is our mission. Because we like to travel, and we are aware of all the details important for guests during their holidays.
Regarding the insects and bugs in the house, as it is an old stone Istrian house in the middle of a rural place, they could appear from time to time in the outside area as well as in the house. Some of our previous guests mentioned them not as a problem but just to ask us if this is a common case in this old Istrian houses. None of this insects are dangerous. But, the vast majority of all our guests have never mentioned they have found any of them. This is something we cannot have influence on during the guests stay. But, I repeat, they are not dangerous at all. They make part of the rural nature.
As unfortunately, during your stay, there were two really bad storms in the zone, which have caused many damages in whole Istria, as well as in Villa Dora, this was really an unpredictable situation which had a bad impact and results in most of houses in the zone. We are really sorry that the bad weather had happened twice during your holidays, and ruined your vacation and damaged many things in Villa Dora which we will have to repair very quickly as have following guests arriving soon. Due to the weather and a strong wind during the storm, unfortunately, big amounts of leaves and grass have cracked the tubes of the pool, preventing the circulation and filtration of the pool water. That was unfortunately the reason it became green. Unfortunately, the morning you have sent me a (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) message, I haven't received it until next morning. Still don't know why, as other (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) messages have been arriving without problems. Otherwise, of course, we would react immediately, as in each case during the stay of all our guests. The communication with our guests is the most important thing before, during and after the stay. If you give a look to all the reviews, you can notice that the communication with all our previous guests was really good. And, that we replied always in a short time and, in case of need, we would come immediately to the house for help. This was actually also in your case with the sunshade. As soon as you have sent me a message that the storm had broken it, my husband came in 30 minutes to replace it. Unfortunately, the second one had been broken again from the second storm. A really unpredictable situation. We had one replacement, but we couldn't have known that the second one would be broken from another storm. We really try to think of all plans B, but this time we couldn't have known we had to have plan C as well. We are really sorry for that. Despite all our efforts, the storm accidents were too strong.
Regarding the caws and their smell, as Villa Dora is situated in the middle of the rural place, this is something that goes with the whole ambient. Actually, all our guests pretty liked them and often kept on mentioning that they really make the place more special. I would say this is a question of preferences. I am sorry you didn't like them, because all of our previous guest did. At least, those who didn't mentioned them at all, didn't neither complaint about them. And the reviews were always more then good.
Regarding the toaster, there is one in the upper kitchen. I am not sure if I understood. Regarding the plastic bowls, this is the first time we have a complaint for them. We are sorry you didn't like it. We found them very practical as in the first months of rental, many of glass bowls got broken during the guests' stay, so we decided for this ones. We have found them very nice and befitting with the house style. Thank you for the idea of a wine cooler. We will take it in consideration for the next year.
And, at the end, we are sorry if the towels were not enough. Usually, our guests used a wash machine in the house for them. In case they wanted more towels, the asked for them. And we used to bring it in a short time. I am sad you haven't mentioned it to me or my husband on check in. It really wouldn't be a problem. We would be happy to help you and meet your demands.
After all, we are very sad that your holidays in Villa Dora wasn't so nice. We do really care of our guests and our only wish is always to make them comfortable at Villa Dora, as well as to help them whenever there is a need. We are really always on disposal and we react quickly when our guests send us messages or give us a call.
