Emmanuelle and her husband, Sylvain, were very nice and concerned for my needs. Emmanuelle didn't speak English, but her husband spoke English fairly well (the apartment is their sons apartment and they were renting it and watching it for him while he was away). Nothing about the apartment was misrepresented, but since I was moved there by Airbnb on an emergency basis because of a problem with my first rental, the apartment ended up costing a lot more and offered much less than my original rental. The hosts were great but the apartment was not worth the money I ended up paying for it. Some notes: There are two french windows in the apartment and they both open onto the patio of a neighbor who seemed to always be entertaining guests just feet away. There was no privacy and the neighbors could look right into your bedroom or living room if you opened the windows. So I had to keep them shut the whole time for privacy. Also, the neighbors in the surrounding buildings were extremely loud at times and late at night (sometimes as late as 3 or 4 a.m.) I would often wake up to conversations right outside my window - or shouts or arguments from other apartments in the surrounding buildings. The kitchen is almost non-existent... a sink, very small counter and some cabinets. There is no oven and only a single, counter top hot plate to cook on. Do not expect to be able to cook a real meal in this place. The refrigerator, however, was fairly large. The bathroom had no counter space, a sink, toilet, and a shower with a door that opens only to about 28 inches. The shower is only a few feet square and if you are a big person (I am 5'11" tall and weigh 205 pounds), you can barely move inside the shower. Do not expect to be able to bend over and if you are just a little bit larger than me, don't expect to be able to get into the shower - the opening will not be large enough. The bed is extremely tiny and lumpy and for a lengthy stay like I had, it was terribly uncomfortable. The apartment is located close to the Metro and the bus stop is also close. Transportation was not a problem. The neighborhood is not the nicest in Paris, but is safe. However, there were lots of homeless people and whole refugee families with children living in squalor on the streets by the apartment. Not a pleasant sight. Altogether, the hosts were very pleasant and helpful, but I felt the apartment was extremely overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend it for an extended stay like I had. Again, I rented this in an emergency and would not otherwise have accepted it.
