The Artist’s Keyhole is a custom built home walking distance to town, with a glimpse of Mt.Princeton from front yard. It’s unique design features a keyhole window in the attic, with log and wood siding. Located a block off Main Street & 2, to park.

Tourist Info: There are several brochures and lots of information on wall by back door.
Bicycles in garage are available to use: Lock combination is 1234 (Please use lock if you take the bikes out and park them).
DURING YOUR STAY:
•Please enjoy the bottle of wine, and keychain bottle opener, as our welcome gift.
•Candles on table blow on and blow off to use.
•Please keep front and back gates to yard closed. (Deer will come in and eat landscaping)
•We do recycle, so if you keep recycling items in separate bag & trash can in garage, they won’t go out with the trash.
•Key to garage is hanging on wall by back door.
•Please take care and do not abuse furniture, any damage will be deducted from your deposit.
•Please sign our guest book. We’d love to hear about your stay!
•Trash Day is Wednesday – Please put trash out either Tuesday night or by 7am Wednesday morning, it needs to be placed out back in the alley next to the garage(URL HIDDEN)If you have recycling please use trash bag and put in the recycling can in the garage.
UPON CHECK OUT:
•Please remove all used towels and place on floor by washer.
•Please remove all used sheets from beds and place on floor by washer.
•Load dirty dishes in dishwasher and turn on. (Dishwasher soap under sink).
•Please be sure to lock up front and back door, making sure front door keypad locked the door.
•Close both front and back gates to yard.
•Please take trash out to garage.
•Please lock garage overhead door and man door.
We have a no pet policy and no smoking inside policy. If either of these policies are found to be violated, 100% of your deposit will be forfeited.

The Artist’s Keyhole does not allow pets and is a smoke free environment.
Guest agree to abide by these Rental Rules at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property:
1.Check in time is 4:00PM MST, check out is 10:00AM MST. To ensure the property is ready for your arrival, early check in and late check outs are not permitted.
2.This is a NON-SMOKING property. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Fires and Fireworks are not permitted.
3.We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under the age 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. Any reservation made and/or secured under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advanced payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will be asked to vacate the premises.
4.A Damage Deposit of $500 is required as security. This must be received within thirty (30) days of arrival. This deposit will be deposited or held upon receipt and is NOT applied towards rent. The deposit will be refunded within fourteen (14) days of departure provided no deductions are made due to:
a.No damage is done to the property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear;
b.No charges are incurred due to contraband, or collections of rents or services, or pay per view TV fees during the stay;
c.All keys and garage door opener are left as instructed and all windows and outside doors are closed and locked;
d.No linens are lost or damaged;
e.All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in the refuse containers in the alley by garage, and soiled dishes are rinsed and placed in the dishwasher. No dirt or mess requiring excessive cleaning;
f.No evidence of pets or smoking in the house or garage. If we or our Property Manager and/or Maid service determine that smoke or pets have been in the house then the full deposit will be kept for additional cleaning charges.
g.No evidence of fires or fireworks on the property.
5.Garbage – Needs to be collected in trash bags and placed in the trash cans located in the alley by garage. Recycling items should be placed in a separate bag and stored in the recycle can by garage.
6.No Daily Maid Service – Lines for all beds and bath towels are included for your stay, and there is NO daily maid service. Rates include a one time linen and towel setup. We suggest you bring your own beach towels for use at the river or hot spring pools. We do not permit removal of linens or towels from the property. Housekeepers will arrive shortly after 10:00AM on your check out day to prepare the property for the next guests.
(URL HIDDEN) Condition Policy – No refunds will be given for storms. Mountain roads can be dangerous during storms due to ice, hail, and drifting snow. County roads are maintained and every effort is made to keep access to the house open. We recommend four-wheel drive and or chains in the winter months. Road conditions can be obtained through (URL HIDDEN) we will not refund due to road conditions.
8.This property is privately owned: the owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises or it’s facilities. The homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest or any visitors the guest might have while renting. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
9.Access – Guest shall allow Homeowner or Homeowner’s Authorized Agent access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner.
1.Payment – An advanced payment equal to 50% (one half) of the rental fee is required within 7 days of booking. The remaining 50% balance of the rental fee is due within thirty (30) days of your arrival date.
2.A Damage Deposit of $500 is required. The deposit must be received within thirty (30) days of the arrival date. This deposit is NOT applied towards rent; however, it is fully refundable within fourteen (14) days of departure provided the provisions previously stated (#4 Rental Rules) are met.

3.Maximum Occupancy – The normal number of guests is six (6) and the maximum number of guests is limited to ten (10) persons. An additional charge of $10 per person, per night, for additional guests over six (6) will be deducted from the deposit if not already included in the rental fee.
4.Cancellations – We have a strict cancellation policy of 50% through Airbnb up to one week prior to arrival. If cancellations are made MORE than sixty (60) days ahead of your arrival date, any rents paid over 50% shall be refunded in full within fourteen (14) days of cancellation. The $500 damage deposit shall be fully refunded within fourteen (14) days of any cancellation.
5.Falsified Reservations – Any reservation made and/or secured under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in and under certain conditions may be asked to vacate the premises. Pets on the premises will result in the complete loss of the rental deposit.
6.Written Exceptions – Any exceptions to the above stated policies must be approved by the owner in writing in advance.

We are a fun, active couple who enjoy spending time with friends and family. One of our favorite things is to explore new hot springs throughout Colorado. We have been to many and decided Buena Vista is the best for many reasons. Aside from the two great hot springs nearby, we fell in love with the mountains here. Buena Vista is surrounded by 14ers (14,000 foot mountains). We haven't hiked them all but plan to hike many more.
Another reason we really enjoy the area is the people, rafting, biking, four wheeling and more. Ed is an excellent photographer and enjoys capturing the history of old mining and ghost towns. A few of his prints are in this home. Ed and Margaret also have a business that recycles bicycle parts into unique jewelry, clocks, gifts, and accessories, called Velo Bling Designs.
The Artist's Keyhole is just another place to have good times with great friends and the comfort of home.
