We didn't get to meet Marie, but she was a good host and kept in touch with us before, during and after our stay. Her room and the apartment was clean, comfortable, and secure. Her roommate, Ornella, was very sweet and helpful, and was very accommodating with our arrival/departure times. The location isn't central, but my husband and I are keen walkers and we didn't mind the jaunt into central Dublin. We also enjoyed the local scene by visiting several of the fun restaurants very close to the apartment (we recommend visiting Il Sereno for dinner and Kennedy's Kitchen for breakfast). It's also very close to a bus station that provides services to Howth, which is a small fishing town with a great hiking trail, which we took advantage of during our stay :)
If you're looking for a nice place to base your Dublin trip that's a little off the beaten track, we'd definitely recommend Marie's apartment!
