I am available to provide help and assistance with everything needed to make your stay comfortable, relaxed and rewarding. Plenty of information on both local, Melbourne and Victoria wide tourist attractions plus all information on public transport and how to book tours. However some guests really want a quiet rest away from interraction with others as much as possible and I support that in every way I can.
Altona is a good starting point for trips down the Great Ocean Road and into other areas in the hinterland of Victoria such as the old gold rush towns. As well you can not only go into the city by train you can also catch the ferry from Williamstown to Melbourne. If people want it I provide a tour around the local area so guests can orientate themselves to what is available where plus good places to wander along a beach or sit quietly in a cafe. I also provide bikes to enable guests to ride along the very attractive beachside paths which stretch all the way from Altona to Williamstown. There is a craft brewery in nearby Newport as well as a Science Museum.
No stays longer than 1 month.

I am a committed healthy eater and exerciser, reader, political wonk, love being out near, or living in, nature, delighting in my friends and family, most especially my 3 glorious grandchildren. Travel to see them regularly in New York City.
What I can't do without: my friends, living by the sea, my kindle, my ipad and the comfort of my little cottage.
I not only travel regularly to New York to see my 3 grandchildren I also write a daily blog about New York ( my way of keeping in touch with their lives) and maintain a apge promoting my site and I offer curated individual itineraries for people travelling to New York. It makes such a diference when someone tells where to go to get the best coffee, the best meals and the best shopping.
I like my guests to really feel at home and relaxed in my cottage. I'm more than happy to tell people about the surrounding area and the delights of the broader Melbourne metropolis and also great trips to scenic places outside of Melbourne. I also give people a guided tour of Altona and Williamstown so they can appreciate the pleasure of these 2 seaside villages if that is something they would enjoy. That said, I'm more than happy to keep out of my guests way and let them just relax if that is their need.
