I will be available throughout the day to offer help and assistance. I am always happy for you to knock on my door if there is anything you need, and will provide you with my mobile number if you need to contact me when off site.
The sitting room has a selection of card and board games, jigsaw puzzles and books. If you have not finished a book you have started you are welcome to take it with you when you leave (they are mostly discontinued library books!)
As well as the TV/DVD player there is also a video player and a selection of vintage video tapes - MASH, Fawlty Towers, Rising Damp etc. I am advised by my children that this vintage (i.e. old) piece of equipment should GO, but a number of guests have said they have enjoyed using it so it stays.
Absolutely NO SMOKING anywhere on the premises.
I live in the other part of the bungalow, and would be grateful for quiet after 11:00 PM.
The arrangement of furniture, television and leisure items makes the accommodation unsuitable for children under 4 years old. Very small babies, under 6 months, probably would be alright.
I am a retired Grandmother. I had previously had people stay as B&B on a very casual 'help friends out' basis. Everyone who came so happy with accommodation etc., I decided to go a step further! And joined Airbnb. Because this is part of my house, and the bedrooms previously my guest bedrooms for friends and family, I do regard airbnb guests as just that, guests, and try to provide everything I think they may need or will appreciate.
A recent visitor said "everything was as described, simple, straightforward, tasteful and practical".
That, plus comfort, is what I aim for. Do come and stay. Hilary.
