"Cabin 36" is cute, clean, cozy and fully separate home conveniently located just .83 miles off I-5 and 3 mi from downtown. It is in a residential area and has old fashioned charm. Has a private back yard, owners live next door.
The cabin is a cute and petite urban cabin around 600 square feet, with two small bedrooms, a living room, bathroom and kitchen. It is called "the cabin" because in 1905 it was a lone cabin on this hill, of course now there is a residential neighborhood built around it but it has kept it's old fashioned charm with high ceilings and original cabinets. It has been given a lot of love over the years so is well cared for, clean, well stocked and extremely cozy. There is a good queen bed in one bedroom (yes, it takes up a lot of the space but is very comfy) and a full sized futon bed in the other bedroom that folds up into a couch. There is a desk in the second bedroom so it can also function well as an office space as there is free high speed secure wifi at the Bungalow. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player, and wii game console with games for families. The TV is not connected to cable but gets wifi and is signed in to our netflix account for movie and series watching. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishes, cooking utensils, range, fridge, dishwasher, and dining table as well as plenty of spices and condiments. The Bungalow sits on a large lot with plenty of parking for 2+ vehicles along street and large unfenced yard space, as well as a nice front porch with BBQ, table and chairs and some backyard chairs for relaxing in the sun.
As a guest at the cabin you naturally have exclusive access to it.
It is a small single, stand alone home on its own land and address. Lots of parking in the front but there are a few steps up to front of house so not wheelchair accessible, there is also a back door.

The cabin is all yours for your stay, and everything in it is for your use. We live in the house next door (downhill- turquoise mailbox) so we are convenient to assist you with any issues you may have, and very happy to meet you if you would like to meet us, but if not you are unlikely to ever see us so that you have full privacy while you are using the cabin.
Since the neighborhood is residential there are no restaurants or shops to walk to in the immediate vicinity. For this reason we have chosen to provision The Bungalow with several days worth of breakfast items for your use. This will provide for the early morning if you are staying overnight or a couple days, or will help you to get established if you are staying a longer period. You will find a supply of things such as bread, butter, jam, cream, sugar, tea and coffee, bagels, oatmeal and cereals. Of course the kitchen is fully furnished so you can become even more creative with meals if you desire.
We also try to keep the place allergen free and eco friendly so it is pet free and we do green cleaning, and use free and clear laundry detergent for all bedding and towels, we also stock environmentally friendly soaps etc. We do use some bleach for sanitizing so let us know in advance if you are sensitive to bleach. If you have any chemical sensitivity or other allergy let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you- Jeneva also has allergies so definitely understands accommodating for them.
No smoking indoors (there is a nice porch though and chairs in the backyard). Children are welcome and there is a large backyard and some games but the house is not baby proofed. House is too small for parties but families are welcome to gather or friends to stop by.
I am an English teacher that works online from home, my husband, Brian, is a retired Coast Guard medic, and we live next door to the Cabin. Most of my students are Japanese business people living in Japan, and I really enjoy my work. We also love travel and camping. I have lived abroad in France, Korea, and New Zealand and Brian's Coast Guard career has taken him to many ports around the world.
