A beautiful, elegant 'home from home' built in 1805, in walking distance of everything, but quiet. Stylishly designed interior with Scottish theme, original wooden floors, detailed cornicing, a flagstone kitchen and beautiful fireplaces.
Recently transformed by Edinburgh's well known interior designer, Emily Black, the Forbes’ Residence has a stylish, contemporary Scottish theme and can accommodate up to eight people.
This luxurious ‘home from home’ has original stripped Canadian wooden floors, detailed cornicing, a flagstone kitchen and beautiful fireplaces. It offers a glimpse of life as a 19th century wealthy merchant - a fine example of Georgian architecture at its very best.
From the pewter stag’s head in the drawing room, to the salmon fish wallpaper in the kitchen and the 'touch of thistles' adorning the spacious accommodation, ambiance and a sense of history pour out of every nook and cranny in this lovely building which was previously home to Scottish artist Anne Redpath.
