Double/twin bedroom, single bedroom and bathroom, included in a Roman/medieval house very close to the main square. Wifi, fly screens, cotto floors, wooden beams, thermal windows. Outdoor Landing on the ground floor with flowers, wrought iron table and chairs.
The Roman and Medieval house is set back from the street in a small nice courtyard, a five-minute walk to Todi’s main square, with its 12th century cathedral, town hall, clustering of outdoor cafes and frequent cultural events. All of Umbria stretches out below you from the windows. Owned by an Italian painter in early 20th century who decorated the ceilings of the majestic buildings in the square and then by a great Pulitzer-prize poet, the house still keeps the charm of the Roman and Medieval times: the nice large outdoor landing in front of the main door where you can sit and enjoy the view of a typical Medieval street and courtyard, the old arches, vaults and Roman well in the basement, the imposing century-old wooden beams and terracotta tiles of the ceilings and floors. People love the house not only for its charm but also for its privacy while being so close to the square. The whole house was restored in 2006 by retrieving all original materials, such as terracotta tiles on the floors, massive wooden beams on the ceilings, stone walls, stone fireplace
a few terracotta steps go down and then up to the communal 7- sq m large outdoor landing/balcony that leads to the main door and communal hall. On the landing is a nice wrought-iron table with chairs where guests can rest, eat, read and enjoy the slow life
