We had the pleasure of staying in the villa x for 2 weeks from July 12-26th and it was one of our most memorable summers yet.
We flew in to Florence airport and it took about 30 min at night 11pm to get to the villa,
It might be potentially tricky to find but we were sent a pindrop and followed that rather than (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps.
Once you turn off the main road, it will get bumpy, and there's a little single car bridge, keep going, then a big hill and finally a gate. through the gate and viola.
it was like a dream.
the little house we stayed in is the cosiest little nook. we had so much luggage and even though the room is little, somehow everything had its place.
There's a little fridge (that makes a bit of noise)
the bathroom is great and shower hot and strong.
The best part was the room would stay cool in the day and warm at night. we slept very well.
In the day we'd swim in the pool and relax nearer the main house (as internet would reach there)
I recommend not leaving any food anywhere as ants will get to it, but there's a spray (it is the country). You will also have 2 friends that will come visit you all the time (two beautiful dogs)
All in all it was the perfect affordable getaway. we had evenings in Florence and took about 30 min to get to the centre.
we will need to rent a car for sure.
Very near the house there is Impuenta where we went to fill our water bottles with fresh spring water and theres a little restaurant in the square.
Oscar is the most helpful, always replies and really looked after us.
There are other people staying in a little house near us but we couldn't hear anything and didn't cross paths.
I would love to come back again.
It was too cute!!
