The lovely and kind Hilda will be your housekeeper and chef, assisted by Thelba (a willowy Swahili maiden with a natty sartorial sense). The grounds and swimming pool will be tended by Asante ("Thank You") our resident Man Friday. You can arrange transfers and tours and assistance with shopping with Juma Abbas our Zanzibari partner.
Your nights accommodation fee includes a delicious Swahili breakfast of tea and coffee, fresh juices and smoothies, fresh tropical fruit, chipati, buns and doughnuts. You will have to buy the ingredients for your other meals or Hilda will run your food kitty and do your shopping for you and prepare your meals before she knocks off at 1600 hours.
Treat the house as we do. Love her. Respect her. Do not invite strangers or the kids from the beach to enter her as after you have gone home they may decide to stay on. Look after the things we lend you and report any breakages. Don't smoke in the bedrooms. Be respectful of our neighbours in Jambiani Village who are almost all devout Muslims. This means that when you are not on the beach dress in a respectful manner and do not make public displays of drunken behaviour. No drugs will be tolerated in the house and you will be asked to leave and lose any money you have paid for accommodation. Pets are welcome if they are housetrained. So are kids!
