Comfortable home nestled in the National Park. Sleeps 10 people in 5 bedrooms. 2 queen-sized beds & a double bed on the 1st floor, 3 twins and 1 full bed on the 2nd floor. Front yard looks out on the Pamet River, the ocean is a 10 minute walk away.
The house is large and comfortable but it is not new. This is not a showy beach house but a home that has been in my family for three generations. We improve the house every year with improvements both large and small but there is still a long way to go! The well water is excellent. The kitchen is fully equipped. The furniture is comfortable and we have a bookshelf full of games and puzzles and another full of DVDs, but the kitchen and both bathrooms would love to be renovated. We will be doing that in the next couple years.
Another thing to be aware of is that this house is in the middle of the woods. Bugs live in the woods. The house is clean but various moths and spiders still want to come in. We have renters who come back every year and love the home but this is not a great property for folks who need the bathrooms to be new and who are unusually afraid of moths and such.
We have plenty of seating space in the yard plus a hammock for relaxing and small studio for relaxing.
If you are thinking of renting in the fall please note that heat is on main floor only. We have electric heaters but the house is more comfortable for 4-6 people rather than 10 after Sept 15.
The entire house is yours! We also have a new studio space which can be used for writing, reading, meditation, etc.

Relatives live close by and can help if any issues come up. And we are available by phone and text. This property is quiet and private and we are happy to leave you to enjoy it in peace.
Pets Allowed = one well-behaved dogs. We can't have cats here at all due to family allergies.
No smoking inside. And if there is smoking outside please make sure all evidence is taken care of before you leave.
Because of the way house turnovers happen on the Cape, renters need to arrange for their own bed linens. You can bring your own or contact The Furies in Welfleet for linen rental. All house linens that are used (bath towels, kitchen towels, beach towels, etc) must be washed, dried and returned to their original location before you leave.
Trash must be organized (separated into trash and recyclables) and put on the lawn each Sunday by 10 am. My uncle will pick up the trash and bring it to the Transfer Station.
This may seem like a lot you are taking care of, but we have found that our renters appreciate the space and the price it is offered at. Properties of similar size and proximity to the beach rent for more than twice our nightly rate. We prefer keeping things simple and as affordable as we can manage. We hope you enjoy the house and we will do everything we can to make sure that happens!
