Imagine the freedom of a farm holiday in the idyllic Limousin countryside. Where you can camp out in comfort under the stars in a safari tent or yurt. Where your children can play in the woods and fields, help round up the animals or watch a lamb or calf being born. Where you can swim, walk or cycle by day, and relax around the campfire savouring delicious French food and wine by night. Welcome to La Tuilerie, your dream holiday down on the farm.
This yurt sleeps up to five people while our other yurt can sleep up to seven. With wooden floors, a double bed and single futon beds, mattresses, rugs and cushions, and all bedding and duvets supplied, we can guarantee you'll feel warm and comfortable, even on those rare chilly nights.
Don't forget, we provide all your wood as part of the cost of your farm holiday so you can sit around the campfire every night, star gaze and revel in the joy of being in the outdoors.
Wake up to the sounds of the countryside and a delicious continental breakfast. We provide complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh baguettes and a selection of home-made jams. If you wish, we can order fresh croissants, pain au chocolat and other pastries from our local artisan bakery. All you've got to do is ask.
Each yurt has its own private shower room and toilet which you can find in our quaint old camp house, a stone's throw from your tent. If you want to cook a bigger meal or escape the midday sun, the farmhouse boasts a shared, fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and relaxing sofas in our kids playroom. You can wash and dry your clothes here, store food in a large, shared fridge and lock away personal items. We also provide ice-boxes if you want to keep chilled food and drinks in your yurt.
The days are long and hot during the summer months so if you want to stay cool make sure you pack your swimming costume. Our heated nine metre pool gives you a great excuse to lie back and relax on a sun lounger in the shade of a parasol while the kids have fun splashing around. What better way to enjoy the perfect lazy summer day?

The beauty of Limousin Farm Holidays is that you can enjoy getting close to the animals and learning from Hugh and Michael about good farming practice and animal welfare. The wonder of seeing a lamb or calf born is something that we believe everyone should experience, young and old. And if you want to help us out, there's always something practical to do. Our young visitors love feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs. And there are plenty of fruit and vegetables to pick in season too.
During your stay you'll have the chance to sample our delicious range of home produced food. In our farm shop we sell free range eggs, succulent lamb, a range of seasonal fruit and vegetables, plus home made jams, ice-cream and home baking. Your kids will love helping us pick vegetables, collect eggs and feed the chickens. And in late summer you can take to the woods en famille to forage for blackberries, nuts and mushrooms.
Cooking and eating al fresco around the campfire is an experience you and your kids won't want to miss. The aroma and flavours of open fire cooking is something to relish, especially when you've worked up an appetite having fun in the great outdoors. Your yurt has its own campfire with all the requisite pots and cooking equipment. Plus, we have barbeques, and in the adjacent camp house, there's a fully equipped kitchen so if you want to cook indoors for a change, you'll find everything you need.
Friday evenings are a real gastronomic treat at La Tuilerie. It's when all our guests are invited to join us for a four-course 'table d'hôte' dinner, a culinary feast made from the best of our freshly picked, flavoursome home produce. Everyone gets together around the table in the farmhouse garden for an evening to remember. There's a set menu plus veggie and kids' options so everyone can join in.
To help ensure the stress-free lives of all our animals, we don't allow pets on our campsite.
Hi - I'm a 45 year old Brit and former project manager who decided to give up the rat race and build a new life in France. My partner Hugh and I bought a beautiful farm in the Limousin where we farm cows and sheep and run a farm holiday camping business.
I am loving my new life. Hugh, a life-long farmer, is teaching me how to look after our animals and land. I'm learning a new language and culture, and making new friends.
My morning commute has been replaced with feeding our cows, sheep and chickens; my evening commute, with a walk around our fields with a glass of wine while we watch the sunset or pottering in the garden.
We love to share our new life with others. You are always sure of a warm welcome at the farm. Please come and stay and enjoy a relaxing holiday in one of our safari-tents or yurts.
