Freestanding historic house with lovely sea & village views, stylishly restored by architect owner. In the traffic-free conservation area, the area is very quiet apart from church bells & distant music from the Waterfront, a short stroll down.
Very cute house - a landmark in the town for its bright pink shutters! Excellent contemporary fittings whilst retaining the lovely old character. Superb bathroom with German and Italian fittings. Gorgeous views of the old town, the churches surrounding the house and the sea.
Ground floor: tiny but perfectly formed kitchen with marble tops, stove, oven, toaster and all the crockery and cutlery you'll need. Opens onto a little sitting platform with a big oleander tree with flowers to match the shutters, a little marble table and two chairs. Very steep stairs up to the middle floor so easier access from the outside.
Middle floor: Entrance hall with views to Christos church and stairs to top floor. Double doors to spacious, contemporary bathroom with Hans Grohe and Bette fittings including a huge 1m x 1.5m shower. Steep stairs down to kitchen.
Top floor: Main living / sleeping room, 30m, with double bed plus two single divan beds, table, benches and corner cupboard. Beautful views on two sides through 5 shuttered windows.
This house is unusally special as, being freestanding, it has free air movement around it on the hottest days. It's probably the most photographed house in the village!
It would suit a couple with 1 or 2 little kids, or 3 young people in close quarters - it's not big enough for 4 adults.

I have a wonderful house manager in Skopelos who speaks fluent Greek, French and English. She will meet you at the port, take you to the house and settle you in. She lives in the village so will be on hand should you need any advice or have any problems.
Please don't smoke inside at all - fire hazard with all the timber and as bad for the house as for you!
If you go out for the day please ensure the airconditioner is off.
Please secure either the shutters or the windows before you go out for the day as the wind can come up and the windows are fragile.

Architectural designer and restorer of historic houses, impassioned transformer of buildings into the most beautiful living spaces, developer of out-of-the-ordinary boutique accommodation, international guest coordinator and very proudly Capetonian.
Having lived in London and traveled extensively, i am happily settled in the city of my birth and believe it is one of the best places in the world to live. Not only is Cape Town exceptionally scenic, but that beauty is so accessible...we live on the beach and spend much of our spare time in or on the water, but we also run and cycle the magnificent coastal roads, hike any of the many mountain trails around the city or horse ride on long white beaches or through hilly vineyards, all without battling crowds or traffic.
When we're feeling less energetic we sit at seaside pavement cafes with a great cappuccino and a backgammon board, enjoy delicious and affordable fresh food at one of the stylish restaurants that Cape Town is so famous for, chill at a cool urban bar listening to a local band or stroll through the city on warm evenings when all the art galleries are open late. Life is fabulous here...there are good reasons why Cape Town has again been voted Best City to visit for the 3rd year running.
I have 15 years experience in hospitality (3 properties in Cape Town and 2 in Greece) and honestly do my best to give my guests the best and happiest holiday experience. After all, I want you to come back and bring your friends and family with you!
