1950's home with 2 BR /1 bath. Bedroom has a Full size antique bed, Very close to UT (3 miles) and downtown, the old city, Happy Holler, Ftn City areas. 10 minutes to Westown Mall. Only 1.5 miles from both I-40 & I-640.Located 3 miles to Neyland Stadium and 10 minutes to Market Square/Downtown/Old City. You can hear the fireworks from the stadium inside my house if you are here on a game weekend.
If you like older homes, cottage style, welcoming, quiet, you will like this space. You are welcome to use the patio area to hang out. The backyard is fenced and pretty quiet. The livingroom is bright and open if you want a space to do some reading. There is a television with cable in the den that you are welcome to use, store things in the fridge, use microwave, etc.
You may access any room in the house, other than my own bedroom. I also have a patio out back you may use. If smoking, I don't allow in the house, but outside is perfectly fine with me as long as your cigarette butt finds a trash can :) I provide a light breakfast (fruit, yogurt, granola or fruit bars, cereal, orange juice, milk) which includes use of my Keurig, so if you have a favorite you can bring a kcup with you, or I will have a selection for you.

I should be home the majority of the time during your stay, or most likely popping in and out. I am a very friendly person and have lived in Knoxville my entire life, so perhaps I can help with directions, recommended dining, etc.
If your arrival is on a Friday, you will not be able to check in before 4:30 due to my work schedule. Saturday check ins are super flexible if you need earlier.
If you are staying as a single I would appreciate your not bringing home a guest you might meet while in town.
Just listed with airbnb May 2017 and excited to meet people! I am a teacher in Knoxville, now finishing 23 years. I love road trips, have taken several on my own, I love seeing our country by car instead of simply flying from place to place. I am a huge sports nut, especially baseball. I can be a host who loves to chat or one who will let you do your own thing. I love meeting new people, and if my friends used one word to describe me it would probably be "laughter." I think/hope that my Southern hospitality shows as my Momma taught me about how to treat visitors growing up.
