My studio is in a great location in Morningside Heights, a couple blocks away from the center of Columbia University's campus, Morningside, Riverside and Central Parks and the 1 train. Bicycle also available for rent.
NYC studio in a prewar building. Hardwood floors. Wireless internet access, flat screen TV, microwave. Quiet, elevator building. Fridge (no freezer).
Full access to studio, save for the closets and bathroom cabinets. But I'll leave small drawers or bins to hold clothing and drawer in bathroom.

I will be traveling around this time, but depending on when guests arrive I might be able to meet them. If not, I will be on email as much as possible and will leave the number of a friend who can help should any issue arise.
There's no aircon in the apt. I've never really needed it with the small fans I'm providing (save for that heat wave last week :-s). Also, I have a flat screen TV but no cable so I provide a DVI (and Mac adapter) to connect a laptop to watch TV via the web.
No smoking or pets. I have very bad allergies. I'm really particular about keeping a clean and healthy home. I don't have any pests and I'd reeeeally like to keep that going (critter phobia)! So I'd hope that guests maintain the apartment in the best condition possible. Also I hope this doesn't sound too obsessive but I don't permit anyone to walk around my home in shoes. I'm asking that anyone who stays maintain that practice in my absence.
Well I'm a PhD candidate in sociology in my Xth year (who's counting?!). I'm big on running around the world when I can and blogging about it. I'm testing out Airbnb because the globetrotting means I'm not in my lovely NYC studio all the time and I figure, why let it go to waste?? I'm pretty particular about my place so I'm super respectful of others' as I hope someone would be of mine. What else can I say? I'm just a girl from Jersey hoping that one day it will all make sense.
