Enjoy the quiet, peaceful farm land and rolling hills. Open floor plan, sleeps seven with full kitchen, all bedding included, lots of space and parking. Great stars at night. We are located in the country only 20 minutes from the downtown Oklahoma City.
The bunkhouse has one step to go up. It has a queen bed, a two sets of bunks and a twin bench that anyone can fall asleep on. Sleeps seven, full kitchen, a half bath with a shower, The shower is run off a small water heater but if you are quick you wont run out of hot water. Towels are available. The bathroom has a shower and a toilet.
The bunkhouse was built from lots of recycled materials, from the deck boards to the 2x4 wall. I have a large family that comes for Thanksgiving and other family gathering so my dad, who all the grand kids call Fafa thought we needed the space. It's a bit crowed with 27 people in the house so that is how the bunk house came about. If you are lucky enough to meet "Fafa" you will never be the same. He is a man of many stories and can build anything, you will see some of his work just being here. You won't believe the space of this 12X40 area.
Guest are welcome to the deck area, anywhere there is outdoor furniture, and you don't want to miss watching the sunset.

Depends on the time of day. Most who stay are just passing through and that's fine. If you have time to sit and visit that's great as well. My husband says I've never met a stranger. I think he's right. I do love to learn new things and make new friends. So it's really up to you.
20 miles to Oklahoma City, Bricktown, NBA Thunder, Cowboy Hall of Fame, and the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial. Several Wineries in the area, even an Irish pub with in 6 miles. The historical Route 66, the Round Barn and Pops are not far from us. Great country roads for motorcycle and all the stars your eyes can see, along with lightening bugs on our 20x30 deck where you are encouraged to BBQ or just enjoy the peaceful view. Also The Old Chicken Barn sale in Jones is great!
Smoking is prohibited and no pets please. Treat our place like you would if you were visiting your moms. :)

My husband is retired and we enjoy riding his Harley, we like to take little weekend trips around Oklahoma and Texas. We live in the country about 7 miles from any stores and love the rolling hills and farm land around us. We have a couple of acres where I love to garden, and plant flowers, that I give away just to see people smile! I always have one or two projects going and like to stay busy. We have a little Pomeranian named Copper who loves people and is affectionate. I come from a large family and always enjoy having people around. We have had several family reunions here comfortably accommodating up to 26 people.
I have placed exchange students for over 20 years and love to meet people from all over the world!
I've traveled to Japan, Russia twice, Germany several times and Mexico. In most cases, I've had the privilege of staying with the students and their families when I’ve traveled. I say privilege, because the experience is completely different to staying in a hotel. Really getting to know the family, the community, and the culture is priceless. Had I stayed in a hotel, I would only be able to say I had visited there – but I can say I experienced their life, by staying in their home.
My favorite quote is this:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world, Indeed it is the only thing the ever has”
