We don't have many rules, but since we all share the space, we expect anyone who stays here to be respectful and conscientious of the needs of others. This means, lowering the volume of music or conversation after midnight, being efficient with bathroom and shower use, tidying up or doing your dishes after you cook, etc. (pretty common sense stuff). One strict rule is that we don't smoke cigarettes in the apartment. Also, there are two other families in our building; one of them is elderly. It is important to be respectful of them when coming in and out of the building, especially if it's late at night. That's all :)
Share in conversation and activities or do your own thing; we are flexible and respectful.
I've lived in NYC for ten years as a theater artist. I run a company called Superhero Clubhouse; we make performances exploring complex environmental issues. Great nature, interesting people, delicious food, good stories, grand adventure... these are my passions. I am a writer, director, actor and producer. I also work with children, as both a nanny and a teaching artist. I am originally from a rural area in upstate NY, outside Syracuse. I'm a big traveler: I lived in London, backpacked around Europe, resided on a cheetah reserve in South Africa, camped in the canyons of Utah and hiked many mountains around the US. I believe in the power of compassion, patience, and imagination.
