Dear Joe, we are deeply sorry for your discomfort!!
As for the noise, there are precise rules in Venezia, according to which the people and especially the pubs can't be noisy after midnight and if they are, the police should be called. I don't know why you didn't tell us but you should have, it's very important for us to know these things because this is against the rules of our town, and obviously because it was a big discomfort for you as our guests.
As for the windows and glasses of the windows: they are very ancient, as all the furniture of the house. They are all original from XIX Century and belonged to our family, we appreciate them very much and we don't want to change them for some smart pretty IKEA things.
We are deeply sorry for the noisy night, the noise we mention in the description is simply the sound of steps coming and going sometime, but not the sound of a loud party under the windows, as you mentioned: this must not happen, and it's absolutely against all city laws.
Once again, you should have told us.
Thank you very much for your stay! Sincerely, Francesca and Jacopo
