Welcome to the Maloney-Hawkins cottage in the beautiful seaside village of Port Clyde, Maine. It is located on one of the most coveted Maine peninsulas perfect for anyone with a need to relax, paint, and get a taste of authentic Maine.
This efficiency has a loft with double mattress, kitchen with microwave, fold down futon, bath with shower.
You are a five minute walk to the Port Clyde General store, docks, boat launching and ferry to Monhegan island.
The cottage is located one mile from the town Drift Inn Beach for swimming and the Marshall Point light house,
The cottage is located at the end of the St.George Penninsula about twenty minute drive to Thomaston,Rockland and other mid coast towns. Weekly rentals are from Saturday to Saturday, check-in: at 2:00 pm. check-out: at 11:00 am.
The cottage is set back from the road, with views of the harbor and Hupper Island from the porch. You will have full access to the cottage, with parking and privacy.

We try to be available on Saturday to check-in, but if not, we will let you know how to gain access to the cottage. There is a house located to the front/left of the cottage where the owners sometimes reside in on weekends/some weeks and can be totally available to you then.
*Drift-In Beach is perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking and such. There are places to rent if you'd like to try it out.
*Internet access/cell phone reception can be spotty at times. There is no WiFi on the property but there is internet access at the General Store.
*Puffin cruises, sunset cruises, Wyeth cruises and the ferry to Monhegan go out multiple times a day in the summer.
*a 5 minute walk to the general store, Monhegan Ferry, Dip Net Restaurant, "The Barn" Bar, The Harpoon Restaurant, Kayak rentals, Squid Ink Coffee Shop and many artist's galleries, a 2 minute walk to a playground, and 20 minute walk to the end of the road to see Eight Bells (the Wyeth's Home)
*20-25 min. drive to Rockland (Farnsworth Museum, Strand Theatre, shopping, and award winning restaurants)
*40 min. drive to Camden (Mt. Battie, shopping, schooners, restaurants)
Port Clyde is a quiet village with the occasional sound of the foghorn from the lighthouse, and lobstermen readying their boats for the workday. Try to keep it down after dark. Pets may be allowed with an extra deposit, and permission from the owners. No smoking allowed.
