Jack and Kathryn rarely sit still! Happiest when they are in the woods on their bikes or hiking or out on the water paddling or fishing, they seek adventure and wilderness every day. Luckily they call the beautiful village of Cumberland on Vancouver Island home and the incredible wild Island setting gives them ample opportunities for both.
Jack is a skilled carpenter and Kathryn has a keen eye for design. Together they have been carefully restoring some of Cumberland's charming little miner's cabins for the past 3 years.
Though they are often on the go they are happy to share their space with travellers who are also looking to adventure in their neck of the woods.
They are laid back hosts who maintain a very clean and considerate listing and their hosting style is relaxed. They are the first to admit that if the trail conditions are fantastic (as they usually are) or the salmon are biting, then they might not be available to physically greet you on check-in. But the key will be waiting and when they return at the end of the day you'll be greeted by warm smiles and a tale or two.
