This is my first Airbnb stay and review. I think the service itself is quite the novel and innovative concept and am open to trying again sometime, I unfortunately cannot say that my first experience is of the best of bnb quality stays in my lodging history.
We met with Tamer on Friday, whom was quite the pleasant host and became available in timely fashion shortly after our arrival. He informed us about all the workings of the place, fairly in-depth and seemed like an all-around nice guy.
Everything looked as it seems from the pictures, to which I felt was getting us off to a good start about the place, as at a glance, it's very aesthetically pleasing and definitely accommodating for a family of five. We could see that the place had been cleaned up fairly well before us coming in, with scents of cleaning products and vacuum tracks on the rug and all, so on the surface level, all appeared to be well, superficially speaking. However, much to the family and I's chagrin, looks can ever be deceiving, as the actual staying/living conditions there (URL HIDDEN) be as non-pessimistic as possible...a bit less than desirable overall.
We didn't quite notice these things until about our 2nd day of our 4-night stay there, when we all voiced our complaints about the furniture feeling a bit off. By the 3rd night, we were unanimously in aching agreement about this, as our sleep was deeply affected by rather worn feeling of the mattresses and pillows. They were all a bit too spongy in feel, offering very little support. The sofas also shared this feeling, but in the opposite spectrum feeling too sturdy and rough and accompanied with the leather finish and curvature of the seating there, it feels like you can just slide right off of them. The ever-so-honest words and actions of my 3-year old daughter summed the bed up best on our final day there , as she awoken suddenly from the bed, rested upon some sheets on the floor and says, "Daddy, the bed is not comfortable", as she tries to go back to sleep. Wow, this was both surprisingly hilarious, on-the-nose and dishearteningly all-telling all at once.
I have more to say, but am near max of words, so here's my breakdown below.
Fairly spacious accommodation
Nice window/patio view
Sufficient & mostly stable Wi-Fi
Well running and easily manageable central A/C unit
More than adequate electric outlets/sockets that all worked
Nice condo amenities (didn't utilize any though)
Aesthetically pleasing and matches pictures to the T.
Toilets equipped with bidets (that's a first and was fun-ny experiences)
Depressingly, back-aching (breaking) uncomfortable furniture (beds and sofas)
Bathroom/Kitchen cabinet wears
Laundry machines were a little janky (mildew inside)
Missing kitchen utensils
Insufficient bedspreads for the Queen bed
Dingy mattresses and sheets.
While not bad, not great either, unfortunately.
