The cottage is located in Old Colorado City on the west side of Colorado Springs. It has 2 bedrooms and one bath with off street parking available via the alley. This is my primary residence but I work out of state on a rotational schedule.
I originally bought this house for its sun exposure and walkability to Old Colorado City and downtown Colorado Springs. The two bedrooms have east facing windows to get beautiful morning sun and there is a lovely patio off the kitchen in the backyard, that is great to sit and enjoy morning coffee or breakfast in the sun. It is just two blocks from the historical section of Old Colorado City with a weekly farmer's market on Saturdays, blues in the park on Thursdays, monthly Friday art walks, and multiple special events throughout the year.
There is a garage in the back that will be locked (unless requested for an additional charge). Otherwise the space is all yours. There is street parking out front but to guarantee parking I have an additional parking space in the back. Combination keyless entry will get you access to the front door. Since this is my primary residence you will see drawers and closets reserved for guests. And any existing food or condiments and toiletries are available for use unless otherwise noted. Since I travel a lot I know the headaches of carrying fluids, etc so you will see quality shampoo, conditioner, and soap available for guests in the bathroom and laundry detergent on the dryer.

I will be available via text, email, or phone whenever needed and have people located nearby to assist with anything you may need during your stay.
My goal is to make your stay as easy as possible. Need early check-in/late check-out? Just ask and I'll see what I can do! Don't want to check bags but worried about toiletries? I've got you covered with Pantene products in the bathroom. Like to start the morning with coffee before leaving the house? I have a welcome kit that should get you off to a good start!
My neighborhood is very quiet so I'm looking for guests that are looking for the same. No smoking of any kind is allowed inside or outside of the house. This is my home and my hope is that you will treat it as your own as well. Turn off lights and fans when not in rooms. Turn heat down when leaving the home and/or turn swamp cooler on only when home and needed. I recycle and compost so all efforts to continue that practice while visiting would be greatly appreciated. You'll find information on what can be composted and recycled near the inside trash receptacle. Washer/dryer is available for guest use with detergent provided just try to do full loads when possible.
"Happiness is a state of mind"
A motto I like to live by to remember everyday I can choose how I want to view the world. As a result, although I work out of state on a rotational schedule I still choose to come home to my house and beautiful city. The location is amazing which is why I choose to continue to live here and fly back and forth. Due to all my travelling I know what it's like to travel and therefore look to make your stay as enjoyable and easy as possible. That's why you will find little creature comforts such as the welcome basket to get you started on your first day in, or the shampoo/conditioner and soap so you don't have to check a bag if you don't want to. This is also my primary residence so I think of it as truly sharing the space. Food in the cabinets? Unless marked please make yourself at home! It makes no sense to me to throw items away because I might be gone for a month when I have guests scheduled to arrive. Not only does this help you but it helps me so that my arrivals and departures don't have to be monumental events. Just imagine packing and unpacking every 2-3 weeks:)
Please let me know if you have any problems and I will resolve them as quickly as possible! This has been my home for most of my life and I absolutely love it and I hope that you will have the same experience.
