Hi Marie, thanks again for coming
I need to reply to your review and add some important details otherwise my future guests might worry (although they do not necessarily have to ..)
Yes since this year, the street is closed to the traffic (and it's a good thing ) but only from 11am to 11pm
Between 9 am and 11am it's of course possible ( and easy) to drive to the nearby supermarket (only 5/8mn drive from the house) and to get back to the house with the goods before 11am
Secondly There are not only a lot of bars and restaurants nearby but also 2 grocery stores !! One at 50 m (1 minute walk...) and the second one (with fine local products) at about 4 mn walk !! moreover here is to be found in the streets nearby at maximum 5 mn walk : a backery, a tabaco shop, a pharmacy, a wine bar/ shop* , etc
Crossing the old bridge (300 meters max) alouds one to reach the " lower town" with a lot of shops and the lovely Place Carnot square (including its delightful farmer market )
So it 's really possible to find any fine local products around , without a car ....
To park a car (even freely) there are several possibilities and I give all the info before my guests arrive . I can also find a private garage (extra charges) nearby for one car
Concerning the summer heat : on one hand fans are available at the 1st and 2nd floor in the bedrooms, (unfortunatly for the moment it's not possible to put the AC in the house ), on the other hand the house is pretty cool and fresh at the ground floor and in the garden /patio ( and the little pool is quiet helpfull )
thanks for your attention
* to my future guests : before purchassing wine, I am a wine expert guide so feel free to ask me ...
